I see a number of negative reviews, but that was not my experience at all. I went into the Mor store approx a month ago and looked around. I was approached by a salesperson, and when I told him I was just looking and not prepared to buy, he politely told me I could find him if I needed anything. I was then pleasantly left alone.

When I was ready to make a purchase on a new sofa this week I went back to Mor. (I had done some comparison shopping over the past month). I was approached by a polite salesperson. I told her I was ready to purchase a sofa, but needed to look around. She did not hound me or follow. She only approached me a couple of times while I spent more than an hour comparing sofas. She explained the current sale and since I was in a hurry for delivery, she was also able to identify which sofas were in stock.

I choose a sofa and paid cash. All went well. I got delivery later that evening. The delivery people were polite and fast. I am on my very comfortable new sofa while I am typing this review.

Bought a Sulley bunk bed and the thing will not stop wobbeling. Didnt feel comfortable putting my kids on it, tried to take it back and it ended up on craigslist. Mor should be more selective who they buy their furniture from.

Mor Furniture was the worst company I have ever done business with. First of all, we went to pick up our piece only to start setting it up when we realized they had mis-packaged the unit. They included two of the same pieces instead of mirror images (it was for a wall unit). This must have been an idiot doing the packaging. Just pay the $80 delivery fee/set-up and forget the freaking hassel...actually just go with another business. Secondly, when we reordered the part, they sent the wrong piece to the warehouse. At this point our living room had been in shambles for 3 weeks. We took the wrong pieces back to the warehouse and thoroughly explained to the retards what piece we needed. They had to search far and wide (literally) for a matching piece. This took another 3 weeks. Our delievery date was changed at least 4 times, then set for October 31 (freaking Halloween night) from 4-8 pm. At 7:30 I got a call (that you can't call back to by the way) saying they were running late and should be there by 8:30. At 10:15 pm (a Sunday night) the delivery truck showed up. I was so pissed at this point I just had them leave the piece and we set it up ourselves. This company has no regard for customer satisfaction. They are inefficient and careless. DO NOT SHOP WITH MOR FURNITURE!!! If you want a headache...have fun.

My husband and I were married in June, and we moved into a new apartment in August. All of our furniture belonged to me (because he's a Marine and had been living in the barracks) so we decided to go furniture shopping so we would have things that belonged to the both of us. We went to the Mor furniture next to the Miramar Marine base, and had the nicest salesman. When we left we had purchased an entertainment center, a granite table with 6 leather chairs and the Emily bedroom set which includes the bed, dresser w/mirror, chest and night table. We purchased everything on Aug. 21, and set up to have everything to be delivered the following weekend. All of the furniture that did arrive came in good shape. After the delivery guys left we noticed some scratches on the entertainment center, but it's in a spot no one will see so we're fine with it. What they didn't deliver was the bed. Now, keep in mind, the whole point of getting the bedroom set was so it matched the bed, which was my favorite piece of furniture we had picked out. The sales man said they were missing only one part, and worked on trying to find it. At one point he called to see if we were willing to have the frame that the mattress sits on from a different set, stressing that it's a part that isn't visible at all. My husband and I were for that, because we wanted the bed. He called later to say that he measured the height of the other frame to discover that it sits higher and would be seen, so he didn't want to go with that. That was the last I heard from our original salesman. We were told that we would get the bed by Oct. 20th at the latest. I got a call Saturday, and was told they had the bed and could deliver it on Tuesday (today) between 1 and 5. Great, I'm all excited I'll finally get the bed. I got a call this morning, and the woman said when they went to pick it up at the warehouse they saw that the bed was scratched and not deliverable. I asked how much longer till they get another one. The woman said the set has been discontinued and they will not be able to get the bed for me. Her suggestion was to come down to the store and pick out a new bed. I used some not-so-nice words to express my disappointment in the situation. The whole point of the bedroom set was so it would match the bed. The woman said she'd have a sales person call me, then hung up. I never got a call back. I'm sure you could all agree with me that picking out a new bed is not an appropriate option since I would no longer have a matching set. My husband and I are in the process of trying to resolve the issue. Picking something else out is on the list of things I don't want to do because my husband is in Afghanistan, and wouldn't be there to pick out the furniture with me (which was the point of buying the furniture in the first place!)

I guess it depends on which store you shop at, but the one we went to in Beaverton, Oregon was fantastic.

The sales associate was very knowledgeable and gave us an unbelievable deal on a living set. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.

No complaints here...and for those who wonder, I do NOT work for them.

We will definitely go back and ask for the same sales associate.

The sales team will tell you whatever It takes to get your purchase. They make promises and do not follow through on the back end. After making a cash purchase for a bedroom set and living room tables I was told that the delivery men would be here in a week. I called 2 days ahead of time to confirm. Yesterday I received a call from the delivery driver to confirm my delivery today between 5-9pm. I called this morning to confirm only to have a disrespectful and rude customer service rep tell me that my stuff would be here by Monday. I'm so irritated as I cancelled my evening plans and gave away my furniture. I asked to speak to his manager and he laughed and said there was nothing they could do. Best they could offer me was a $50 credit. I will NEVER sho there again!

I am writing review for Mor furniture's store in Murrieta in CA. I have no different opinion than others here. I was wondering if I can rate negative.

Arrogant sales men. Almost broke the deal when we were about to pay. Moved to a different store, ordered a bed set and a dinning set.The bed set arrived as expected, the dinning set that I paid for on July 04 2010 hasn't arrived till Aug 3rd 2010 and they had already changed the delivery date 4 times .. Still not sure when they could deliver. Probably the prices are OK but its definitely not worth the troubles they give with the delivery. Every time a new sales person calls in the morning (ruining your day) and delivers the bad news as usual they talk very rude ...It looks like there is no one to question their ridiculous business practices and astonishing to see how they survived so long .. Cannot talk to anyone other than the person on the phone ....I asked to send an email to remind them the date they scheduled at a later date ..looks like they cannot do that. Wonder why its not possible in this age of emails and txting ...

My mor furniture exIf you want to experiance the worst customer service ever in your life pay a visit to Mor furniture. I have never seen the most disrespectful & disorganised company in the us. When they were celebrating their 33 yrs aniversary,I was wondering how they have survived for all these long & curious how long they will stay in the busness. Like their own manager confessed the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. For once in my life all the confidence that i have on the power of the us consumers has been totally & completely erroded. The only reason why they are encouraged to mistreat & abuse their customers is because Mor furniture is confident that the customers can't do anything. They have highly undermine the power of the consumer & the very advanced communicating system of the present day. It has been close to two months now & I haven't recieved my furniture yet. Every week they call me atleast 2-3 times to set the delivery date & to appologize and post pond it again. When you can't get a solution after endless phone calls you made to their customer service & go to the store & the manager will tell you what's the big deal that you haven't recieved it yet, it's just furniture, so what? Honestly. Right now I am home waiting to recieve my staff after i get a call from the delivery man. He said he will show up in 20 - 30 mins but it has been more than 4 hrs now. I can guarenty you you will recieve the worest service ever if you get a chance to go to this place. On the scale 1 - 5 my rating is negative 5. Trust me you will make it negative 10. hold on, some one is knocking the door, oh Mor furniture is the one. I am back after 25 mins, guess what? It's a partial delivery. That's why their name is mor not MORE. For the best service of the US consumer, can't wait to see Mor furniture out of the busness with the speed of light. Wish you to get bankrupt & get out of the Busness soon, mor furniture. Oh by the way I gave u one star b/c the computer wouldn't let me submit my comment with out choosing atleast one star, not b/c you deserve any

I ordered sectional sofa and got delivered after 3 weeks. They say that they have 1 year interest free financing. On the day I purchased, they said that the bank is closed so they couldn't verify my credit and requested to pay me using my credit card. The sales person said that they will refund my money and enroll finance on the next day. I called them more than 5 times but never give me my sales person. Once bought, you can't return and can't talk to you sales person or authorized person. You are stuck!
Finally: NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING from MOR. PAY $300 more but buy from other store.

I can't see how I can move all my furniture by myself 1400 miles and not get even a scratch on it, yet these illegal immigrants you hire to bring a BRAND NEW $1000 table from twenty miles away in a box can't even get it here without putting a HUGE gouge in it. Please explain why you would treat your customers this way. This has got to be the biggest joke I have ever encountered and I will probably never buy from you again and I will never recommend your store to anyone. I don't know if you think you're saving money on delivery, but I would think in the long run you would lose lots of business. Feeling screwed by MOR in Buckeye. BJ

After reading all of the terrible reviews from people about Mor, I feel for them, but have to say that we have had nothing but wonderful experiences from them. We purchased a bedroom set and mattress about 6 years ago from them. When we had trouble with the mattress being worse than the old one we got rid of, they worked out a solution for us, took the mattress back and recommended a better one in which we didn't have to pay extra for. It was a bit of a headache in the beginning to get to the right people, but the fact is they took care of us. To this day, we still have the same mattress and love it! Additionally about 4 years ago we bought our two couches, end table, coffee table and lamp from them and haven't had any problems at all. All of our furniture has held up extremely well and we are thinking of going back in the near future to purchase more. Aside from the furniture being great quality, the price is right, they have great financing and we have never met a sales person there with less than a professional and respectful approach to us.

WARNING! MOR Furniture Nightmare!
My husband and I purchased a $4,000 Oak Bedroom set from Mor last year within 2 months one of the drawers slides broke. Guardsmen protection warranty not covered due to us not reporting the problem within 5 days...3 more drawers are now broken and not covered under warranty! Furniture is a lovely piece of garbage and still not paid off....We will NEVER shop there again.

We purchased several items from mor, A leather sofa set, a recliner, and a dining table recently. Sales was perfect! Then it started! We were told 45 min. wait to pick up recliner, so we assumed sales said have it ready, nope! we wait 1 hour, go back in warehouse and they say we are real busy sorry it will be soon, 1 more hour still nothing! We go in store and tell them this is crap, we are sitting here 2 hours! whats up? suddenly as he calls warehouse its ready.
We paid delivery on on couches, and table as they were not in stock. We were told 3 weeks on couch, 1 week on table. Couch arrived in 3, but damaged and still no resolution. Table was told arrived and will be delivered on that thurs, then friday called back and said no it did not show up. It would be following week. They called us next thurs and said no it did not show up, will be 18th. then 2 hours later called back and said no it will be another 4 weeks. We have these saved same day in voice mails.
You make your own conclusions, But as for us we are cancelling order on table and getting money back, We will buy at old cannery!

For Gawd sake, DON'T throw your money away at Mor! We spent $1200 for a sofa and love seat combo last June. Since then, we've had a repairman out to the house four separate times to fix the footrest mechanism on one of the recliners, and it STILL doesn't work properly. Now the same problen has arisen on the footrest for a recliner on the second piece of furniture, which we rarely even use! We pissed away twelve hundred bucks on this total pile of crap. I would gladly have paid twice as much for GOOD furniture from a reputable retailer with a broad selection, some place like the Old Cannery in Sumner. You might pay for it, but they stand behind their stuff. Screw Mor Furniuture! Buy your furniture ANYWHERE ELSE! Do the buying public a favor and force this company OUT OF BUSINESS!

Since then, we've had a repairman out to the house four separate times to fix the footrest mechanism on one of the recliners, and it STILL doesn't work properly. Now the same problen has arisen on the footrest for a recliner on the second piece of furniture, which we rarely even use! We pissed away twelve hundred bucks on this total pile of crap. I would gladly have paid twice as much for GOOD furniture from a reputable retailer with a broad selection, some place like the Old Cannery in Sumner. You might pay for it, but they stand behind their stuff. Screw Mor Furniuture! Buy your furniture ANYWHERE ELSE! Do the buying public a favor and force this company OUT OF BUSINESS!

HORRIBLE! I bought a sofa on Dec 19, 2009. It was out of stock and expected to be delivered on 1/2/10. No one called to tell us it would not be delivered when it didn't show up. On 1/8/10 I called to see the status and they said it will be here1/29/10 because a piece of the sectional was out of stock! I said fine, cancel the order. The lady put me on hold of 10 min and came back saying they had one in stock and will be at my house in 2 hours. I needed it for a party that weekend so I said fine, deliver it and i had my elderly grandma come accept delivery since i had to work. When I got home I noticed on one sectional there was a large crack in the wood base, the seems had several areas where the sticthing was pulled, and the suede is WORN DOWN in 4 spots! This just so happened to be the sectional they were out of. I called and complained the next business day and the lady told me it was a new couch, not a floor model. However, when I went to showroom I noticed the couch on display was missing the sectional that they couldn't find at first to fill my order. Coincidence? They said new one will be here 1/1510. On 1/17/10 they said it will be here 1/26/10. On 1/27/10 they said it will be here 2/6/10. On 2/9/10 they say it will be here 2/26/10! I doubt i will get a new one. This is ridiculous and i will never purchase from these people again.

I read all the other reviews after having made our purchase of a living room set. Sofa, two chairs and two ottamans. My first thought after reading the reviews was "oh no, did we make a mistake!!" The furniture we purchased was not the most expensive we've ever purchased, far from it. But we have in the past bought very expensive furniture from top rated stores only to be dissapointed with the durability and comfort of the pieces after a few short years. So purchasing this less costly furniture isn't a concern. If it doesn't turn out well then at least we're not out thousands like in the past. Now, the purchasing experience of the furniture in the showroom was excellent. The salesperson greeted us, explained the pricing policies and except to check with us to see how we were doing was not pushy or demanding,but very helpful. We decided on the furniture we wanted and the final purchasing process was smooth and pleasent. No pressure and all our questions were answered. We were told that we would need to wait 12 days for the furniture to be shipped in and then notified of scheduling a delivery. They called on day twelve, we scheduled delivery for the next day between 12 and 4 PM. The delivery guys arrived the next day at 11:50 AM. Helped with moving some small pieces in the room to make space for the new stuff. Brought in the new, set it up and positioned into place as we requested. Excellent experience. Others may have had problems and nightmares with their experience with Mor Furniture, we didn't. Everything was done just as they said it would be. We are pleased.

We will need to follow-up with them once we find out which company it is.
We'll gladly go spend those thousand's of dollars elsewhere, where they actually want our business. Mor should reconsider how it does business, but I doubt they will.

Guys, stay away from Mor, life is too short to deal with Mor. Mor customer service sucks. Delivery was rescheduled few times already. On the phone they are rude. Please HEAR ME OUT, there are more stores around with better customer service. My kids are sleeping on the floor for more than a month and they called me today and told me that my beds will be delivered next year. I will never buy from Mor again. I hope Mor goes down into corporate flames. I had the displeasure of being a salesperson for that company. You have to have no morale and not care for your customers or your fellow co-workers to make the money they "promised" you would make in the furniture business. I will never forget how customer service and the warehouse management treated a wonderful lady named Kaisha like crap. I worked proudly and hard for her. She was happy with me through and through, but not with customer service. The lady in the back (warehouse and customer service is the same, figure that!) actually yelled at her. When Kaisha called me to tell me what happened, WHEN SHE FINALLY GOT THROUGH AFTER 40 MINUTES, I immediately contacted the woman who treated my guest so horribly. That woman had the gall to yell at me and told me that I had to "live with the fact that items in the warehouse just come up missing" WHAT! I quit on December 4th. I'd rather be unemployed than EVER work for that place. I would never buy a thing from that place, not even an accessory or lamp, even if it were the last lamp in the world.

Inexcusable. We purchased a sofa, rocker and recliner also a sofa table and coffee table, last year. It took over 4 months to get all the pieces. We had been told everything was in stock, paid for it and then after paying was told, oops they made a mistake we would have to wait on the rocker and one of the tables. Two weeks. Well it was October, so we had hoped to have everything by Thansksgiving. NOT. We didn't get everything until After the first of the new year. Now the seam has ripped on a corner of the couch, and the foot rest, is rubbing against the side arm tearing a whole. The guy came out and said he would order a new arm, he said five weeks, it's been 8. Called customer service, the material just came in so they should have a new foot rest and arm by next Wednesday. No one said anything about fabric. It was my understanding was the arm rest was coming from China that is why it would take 5 weeks. Now I am told the fabric comes from China, it is assembled in KY and then shipped here. Which is it. Although, selection is great and pricing good, I will not go back to MOR Because MOR is LESS.

Let's see purchase was made November 2008, complained about defective couch, (mis aligned foot rest-tearing leather & ripping seams) (we have no children at home) October 2009, attemped repair by Mor which looked like 3rd grad work, got an agreement from Mor to have it professionally repaired. Repair work was stopped by legitimate shop who indicated and wrote a statement stating the couch had major manufacturer defects and would be useless to fix. Mor has refused to reimburse us the $81.00 because we did not finish having it repaired. They stated since now we won't be keeping the furntiure they will not pay for the work done. I explained we can't repair and keep furniture that will fall apart again. They agreed in writing to pick up the whole set we purchased and refund us our entire purchase except the delivery charge and the $81.00 plus dollars. They indicated in writing that upon receipt of the merchandise they would refund our money to our credit card. Pick up was March 26, 2010. I was suppose to get a call Tuesday March 29, I ended up calling them. I was told "she" was waiting on one more piece of paper from corporate for authorization to credit my account, she would call me Wednesday, everything thing and the credit should go through by then. Today is now April 2, 2010, one week later. Now they are avoiding my calls. They "forgot". I did get through after a 20 minute wait and was told it still had not gone through. I advised the gal she had until 11:00 am, to put it through our I will file a criminal complaint of theft, and a civil suit of breach of contract. Now matter what get it in writing. I'll keep you updated. DON'T BACK DOWN.

parents bought a sofa and love seat set along with a dining set (table and six chairs). sofa was ordered and since my parents liked the showroom employees they decided to get the dining set. the dining set was supposedly in stock and so my parents went to pick it up and it was supposed to be a 15min wait. in the end they waited for like an hour and still nothing. parents went to complain and they gave us free delivery on the dining set. when the delivery day came, the delivery men came in with nothing saying that they were there for a pick up.! WHHAATTT?? i was on the phone countless times that night but since the showroom was already closed, my dad and i went to the showroom the next day to ask whats up and then they said that they were going to give us a free delivery with the sofa set. that delivery went okay but whats up with the 4-midnight time window? ridiculous! since the delivery was late we didnt really get a chance to look at the products and when we did, we found a crack on our dining table. dad went to the showroom to complain and they said that they were going to deliver one a few days later (which is today). we got a confirmation phone call about the delivery but instead a technician shows up. whats up with all this ridiculous delivery issues?? definitely a TERRIBLE place to shop at!

Mor Furniture has horrible service. I have waited around for them to show up for a repair. When I called, after the four hour window had passed, I heard, "I'm glad you called. . . " then,i was informed that a technician would not be showing up. INstead the couch had to be picked up. When I called back to schedule the pickup, they said, "no need, we can fix it at your house. We'll call you back to set up an appointment. . . no call. When I called back, they said, "no, we need to pick it up and it will only be one day to repair. It's day three now. . .

We bought a leather sofa package at Mor on Sunday 9/13/2009 at the clearance price $2299.99. Since it was a clearance item (only item that is available on stock - We tried 3 different sets), Mor doesn't allow a FREE TAX on it, and I'm ok with that. We paid $99 for a Same Day delivery. The package was delivered to my house on that night. We love it! On Monday, I went to Mor's website and found the very same item with a sale price that is exactly the same with the clearance price we paid for but with a free-tax and free delivery. I printed the pages out and went to the store. At the store, I was directed to a gentleman (Manager?). I asked him why a clearance price of the package we bought is the same with its regular online price? He looked a the pages and the receipt and agreed to credit back the tax ($240). Five minutes later he went:, "No, it's a clearance item and since it's been finalized, Nothing I can do!!!!" @@@@!!!!. Just like that...I wasn't that interested in talking with him, just felt bad that I had trusted the salesman, and the way the store manager handled a dispute. MOR! Learn how to treat customers with dignity. Before you go to bed, think of what you have done to those hard working customers like us. We work hard to earn our money. Don't steal from us! Without us, customers, you don't have a job :

Yesterday, a Mor Regional Manager from CA called me around 6:00 PM. He acknowledged the issue and personally made a credit of $244 (tax amount) back to my Credit card. This is what I expected the store manager should have proceeded when I was there - escalating the issue to the upper manager if the matter is above his authority, instead of "can't do nothing! period!". It should be a good learning lesson for him.

Mor furniture will not back up their customers or their warranty's! My couch is falling apart ...its ripping at the seams and my springs are giving way and I don't even have small children! We have a 5 year warranty that is worth nothing!

The product they sell is Totally GARBAGE they do not include Use and Care instructions with their Furniture and when the furniture fails to perform as it should they blame the defect on their customers. I recommend that NOBODY buys anything form MOR FURNITURE

We bought a couch, loveseat and chair from Mor just recently. We were given a better price than advertised, without even asking. We are not far from the store so we decided to pick the furniture up ourselves; the chair was ready the same day and we expected the other pieces the following week. They called us about 2 days before the promise date to let us know it was in and to offer us free delivery of the remaining furniture. They showed up the next day right on time, set up the furniture and took away the packing material. So as I say, I can't complain.

I had great sucess when it was Bedroom Superstore and now listening to the reviews I'm not so sure it is a reliable and customer friendly place to shop. Customer service is key from the salesman to the customer service help desk. It's not worth the headache to find out.

Mor furniture is hands down the best furniture store around. They have the best selection and they're financing options blow everybody else out of the water. The salespeople help lot and don't try screw you over. They have the lowest prices and you don't have to negotiate to get them. they are the best.

I had a very bad experience with Mor company I bought a bed room set, a coffee table and the end table at Mor 2 years ago. first they delivery the wrong bed room set, when I call let them know they said they will change to the right one 2nd time when they delivery they was 2 hours late and they was missing the stick to set up my dresser,they said they dint have it in stock they have to order one when they order one they sended direct to my address until today my dresser is haven't been set up yet and every time I call they put me on hold for a long time

After doing the rounds of numerous furniture stores, we finally settled on buying our furniture from MOR. Their showroom is good, the salespeople friendly and knowledgable and I loved the selection and prices. We ordered about 5000 worth of furniture and got free delivery.
This was in October of 2007; this is what has happened since then:
1. First delivery in October: Delivered the living room and family room couches; broke a side table and the lamp was missing a shade; promised to deliver the side table next day and the lampshade in 8 weeks!
2. Second delivery: they got the replacement end table
3. Third delivery: dining table, 6 chairs and the buffet. Forgot the hutch and forgot our lampshade.
4. Fourth delivery: bring the hutch and lampshade but break the glass shelves for the hutch. Promise to order them and come install soon.
5. Fifth delivery: haha, they got us: they got us!! They brought around their huge delivery truck with NOTHING to deliver!!!! The delivery guys just stood at our door like idiots going 'shelves ? what shelves? we don't know nothing about no shelves?'
6. Finally call to fix delivery and installation of the shelves. the delivery guy comes today with the glass and guess what?? The shelves are the wrong size!!!!
7. So now finally they've promised to come by again with the correct shelves.

Meanwhile, we've waited 4 months and spent countless weekends just sitting at home waiting for these doofuses to get it right and they still haven't got it right!!

I'd suggest to just go to Costco or Levitz and pay more and not wait till you're old to get your furniture!

Worst retail experience of my life.

Round 1: In March 2007 two poor-mannered men delivered a dirty couch and couldn't fit it in our door (they didn't even measure first). On top of that, they were swearing and demanding our help in carrying it...remind me why I paid $80 for delivery??

Round 2: We went and picked out a different couch that they were sure would fit. We paid for the first couch with our check card and they wouldn't let us have store credit toward the new couch (are they crazy?) Instead they had to issue a refund which we were promised would be back in our bank account within 3-5 business days (if they tell you it takes longer, they are lying...I got to the bottom of it when I got in touch with their accounting department). They forgot to put in the request, so I had to spend hours on the phone explaining what had happened to ensure we got our refund. On top of that, they were extremely rude and inconsiderate.

Round 3: They attempted to deliver our new couch in April 2007. Not only did they forget to measure before halling it up 4 flights of stairs, but after it didn't fit they caused $900 worth of damage to the walls in the stairwell of the condo building and we had to pay for it! When confronting them about the damage (we took pictures and had a copy of the invoice), they transferred us around to different people and refused to deal with the situation.

Now: We have to take them to small claims since they refused to pay for the damages they caused. Not only do we have no couch, we are out amost $1000 because of them.

It's funny b/c they called themseleves the "Costco" of furniture stores...if only they could treat their customers like Costco does...

My husband and I purchased a couch, loveseat & recliner in October of 2006. The salesman was very nice. He told us that the throw pillows came with the set. It wasn't a buying point for the set, but it was a nice extra since the furniture was all one color.

We received the furniture on time, minus the throw pillows. My husband called and was given the runaround, and after a lengthy discussion, the Customer Service Rep figured out which pillows went with the set and said she would order them. He was told that they should arrive within a couple of weeks. A couple of months later, no pillows. We called again and we were told that we'd have to speak to another lady that was not in the office. Third call (and another month or two later)- I called this time and spoke to a Rep that said they hadn't been ordered yet and she would put the order in and call me if there was a problem. She wasn't sure why they hadn't been ordered yet. Another month or so went by and I had to call again. This time I spoke to a very rude Rep that put me on hold without even asking if I minded. When she got back on the phone, she said, "That set doesn't come with pillows". I explained to her the history and she said, "I don't know what to tell you, that set doesn't come with pillows". When I asked her why everyone else had told me that it did and that they had been ordered, I received the same response. Doesn't come with pillows. She suggested that I call the salesperson that gave us the bad information, but when I asked her for his name, she said she couldn't tell me.

Of course, I can go and buy my own throw pillows, but now it's the point of the matter.

This company has lousy customer service, I know because I'm in the customer service industry and I would never treat a customer in this manner.

I arrived in a friends borrowed van expecting to haul a new table and 4 chairs. After waiting for over an hour in the cold warehouse (we were the only customers there) to my surprise we were greeted with 3 small flat boxes. I asked where was the table and chairs, the dock worker pointed to the flat boxes and said here! Unknown to me, I have to put them together! So after paying $600, waiting 6 weeks, and another hour in a cold warehouse, I am tasked with a weeks worth of work, gluing and screwing chairs and a table together. Thank God I have woodworking 101 in high school. BTW: the parts are delivered directly from China and explains why I waited 6 weeks to get it, in pieces. Never Mor again.

Last November I purchased a chaise lounge. But it was missing a pillow. I called the store and, after putting me on hold a long time, they confirmed that yes, there should have been two pillows. Then they asked me to describe exactly what the pillow looked like. They apparently could not look in the catalog or walk out to the showroom to see for themselves. They said it would arrive in 3-5 weeks. I asked why they couldn't take one off the other 5 lounges in stock. "Those are committed to other customers," the service rep said as though reading a script. 8 weeks and 3 aggravating phone calls later, I FINALLY got a package??with the wrong pillow!

I decided to forget the rude Service Dept and called my salesman directly. He was very nice and said that he would take care of it. A month later with still no pillow, I called yet again. Turns out that my salesman no longer worked there, and everyone tried to blame HIM for the problem. Finally a Service Manager told me that since it had been FIVE MONTHS he would special-order another chaise from the Phoenix store and flag it as an exchange. In two weeks I was to call Mor and see if it had arrived. The staff was incapable of jotting down a reminder note; I had to do the work myself. I was to call, see if the chaise had arrived, and then instruct the rep that I didn't need the entire chaise, just the pillow.

So two weeks later, hopeful that I was finally getting somewhere, I did call and was told that yes, the chaise was there, and yes they could mail the pillow to me??but not for a week. Three weeks later, I got a call from Mor wondering when I was going to pick up the chaise! I told them I was waiting for a PILLOW??the SMALL one, NOT the big one. She said that she would mail it out that day. Then she called back to ask which pillow I needed! Was it the cushion? I said that no, the cushion did not detach. I described the pillow AGAIN. Then she called yet again and said that only one pillow came with the chaise, not two, sorry. I explained that SIX MONTHS earlier I had been told otherwise. She said nope, only one, sorry. I asked to speak to a manager. After putting me on hold for a very long time, she said that H---- would be calling me. H---- (who it turns out was in the San Diego store!) did eventually call and said he "was very sorry" but only one pillow came with the chaise. I purchased $1200 of new furniture from Mor Furniture in the summer of 2006, and have had nothing but problems. The first time my hubby sat on our sofa a spring broke! And it took me over a week of talking to various managers at Mor to have it replaced. Finally I received a 2nd sofa and after about two months, the cushions would sink in...Mor offerred to replace the cushions, but unforunately, never looked at the sofa!

New cushions, same problem!! Finally as I am putting the foam cushions into the new slip covers after my husband picked up the new cushions at Mor's Warehouse, yes I the customer did this, not Mor (or Less if you prefer!)! I see that a wooden beam in the back of the sofa was never properly connected, therefore there was NO support! So, I phone Mor again, and this time I choose to speak to a Sales Manager, not a Service Manager, and am asked if Mor ever looked at my sofa before replacing the cushions - what a unique idea! But, NOPE, Sorry I think that would have been too much effort. So, this nice Sales Manager orders us a another replacement sofa. Ok, that's good. Oh but although it's not yet Thanksgiving, the sofa will not arrive untial a week after Christmas. Ok, well I'll have to work with that.

12/26 rolls around - my hubby while about 10 miles away from our house the day after Christmas receives a call on his cell phone - "Hi it's Mor Furniture, we are at your house to deliver your sofa, and you have 5 minutes to get here, or we are leaving for our next delivery!" Are you kiddin' do you know how long it takes to drive 10 minutes the day after Christmas in the Puget Sound Region?!

So, I phone Mor today, a few days later, am told I must speak to the Service Manager. I am on hold 20 minutes, a few times, people get on and ask if I can hold, or who I am holding for! Finally I am told the Service Manager is busy and will call me back........needless to say I'm still waiting.......Oh the wonders of buying Mor Furniture for Less, will they ever end!!

Mor is a world-class furniture store. The showroom is spacious and well-planned to give you helpful decorating ideas. The sales staff is helpful and well trained. Financing was quick and easy. I was expecting Mor furniture to be just another furniture store. But they are a little more. They have nice salespeople, nice showroom and reasonable prices. If you are in the area I would jsu tcheck it out.

I work in retail so, you would think that I know a thing or two about how a person should be treated in a store. Ummm. Apparently the employees at Mor haven't learned this yet. Mor is a furniture store where the sales people don't realize that they are there to sell things. Instead when I was there they sat around and didn't wait on anyone. I went up to one salesperson and asked for help and he said he was busy. He was sitting with three other salespeople chatting. Do NOT go here!!!!
