.

Our family has been at River Homelink for four years now. I was always going to homeschool my kids, but by the time my oldest was ready for school, I had just had my 4th baby. Needless to say, public school was the way for our family at that time. We really enjoyed our years at Sifton Elementary & later York Elementary. I volunteered there as the Art Discovery Coordinator. Once my girls got older they started struggling in the one size fits all classrooms and teaching. At this point, I pulled them out and we started attending River Homelink. I would like to say it saved our lives and our education. The smaller class sizes and teachers that really take time to get to know each student was what my girls needed. I switched all four of my kids & the boys have excelled in every way. My oldest is going to Clark College and looks forward to transferring to UW next year to go into their Aerospace Engineering Program. My daughters are doing excellent. I actually pulled my oldest daughter out of RHL this past year and put her in an alternative High School to recover credits. She is just blossoming there and excited about her education. My younger two kids are loving school and the teachers and the interaction between kids and families. We will attend one more year at RHL, due to the distance out to Battle Ground, we will be possibly finding a co-op or when Columbia Gorge Homelink gets sponsored by a local district we will be attending there. Thanks RHL, for giving it your best! You changed our lives!

My daughter started at Homelink in the the 4th grade. She was not doing very well in public school. She came to homelink in the middle of the year, by the end of the year she was at the top of her class. She is now a senior and attending the 2nd year nursing program at Skills Center. My son is attending Homelink for the 3rd year and has improved greatly in math and is now at grade level. Both my children enjoy the variety of classes offered and even enjoy the required classes such as Reading etc.
I also teach at Homelink and completely enjoy my work. I am currently in my 4th year as a teacher at Homelink and wouldn't trade it for any other job. We have great staff, families and kids.
Thanks Homelink for a wonderful learning experience for my kids and a great place to work.

I am a very satisfied Parent . My daughter 18, is graduating this year with a H.S. diploma, college credits and a Skill acquired at the Clark Skill Center. She is currently working as a Dental Assistant. Her Success is all due to her involvement at River Home-link. She had excellent teachers that equipped her for success at college and have inspired her for her future. Our Children have only been enrolled there for three years. My son is a straight A student due to his involvement with the teachers at River. He will be starting his junior year at River and also taking classes at Clark Comm.College.He has taken several classes in Science ,Math, English besides being involved with the yearbook ,and A.S.B. We could never have provided all the excellant experiences in the education of life that he has had at RiverHomelink. We are excited about his future.

I've been the school secretary at River HomeLink for more than twelve years. I've witnessed a wonderful group of teachers and parents, who believe in the success of children, who are home schooled with our program. It's the best of both worlds...great teachers and wonderful parents, together they develop successful students!Ninety eight percent of our classes have no more than 20 students per teacher. Parents tell me frequently that we are the most family friendly school they've attended. HomeLink is a stellar example of a Home School that WORKS!

My three children have attended this school for the past three years. We LOVE it. It is a great place to get homeschool resources and a great place for the timid homeschool parent to offer their children a more productive education with the back up and support of a school system and certified teachers. Children and parents can be as involved as they want to be from just taking a PE or enrichment class to attending a half week smorgasbord of classes and then doing the remainder of subjects at home. Furthermore, parental involvement is encouraged and even expected! Parents routinely sit in and participate in classes. Nondisruptive siblings are also welcome and the school provides a staffed nursery for potty trained children to play in while parents engage in learning with their older children.I encourage anyone to come and give this program a look. My children have flourished!

River Homelink is an alternative program in the Camas/Washougal area geared toward homeschoolers. We have attend for 4 years and have enjoyed the flexibility and variety offered to homeschoolers.
River Homelink offers off-site enrichment classes such as ice-skating, PE at the YMCA, and dance. These classes are offered at $2/child per class. My boys are currently signed up for piano lessons and PE at the YMCA.
Most of the teachers are parents who have knowledge within a specific field.
This is a great opportunity for homeschoolers to meet and interact with others.
