This restaurant had potential, but has recently gone downhill in food and what remains of the Irish theme atmosphere they were trying to attempting to capitalize on. The pub has slipped into becoming just another metro-Atlanta bar of mediocre style and food. Stay away from their version of the popular Shepard??s Pie pub grub, they use the wrong meat and slap what appears to be a slice of American cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.

An old Irish pub in Gwinnett? Well, it's not authentic, bt it's a refreshing break from the usual Mexican/Italian/Chinese fare when one thinks of foreign food. Corned beef, irish stew and shepherd's pie are among the "authentic" dishes, but for the more conservative diner, steaks and juicy burgers are an option. A nice place for something different.

I think the starring attraction at The Loafing Leprechaun are the daily lunch specials. For a mere $5.95, you can have Country Fried Steak on Mondays, Leprechaun's Dirty Bird
(baked chicken with mixed vegetables and rice) on Tuesdays, pork chops on Wednesdays, barbecued baby back ribs on Thursdays and/or a seafood poboy on Fridays. Available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., each meal comes with a beverage and can either be eaten in or taken out. A delicious deal!
