City Lights Of China

★★★★☆
The quality of the food shines above the atmosphere and service. Order the Peking duck and enjoy the show.

I'm EXTREMELY picky about Chinese food; it can't be too greasy, making the food flavorless, and I don't like when the meats aren't fresh. City Lights has it down! Apparently it was the first "Meiwah". (Both restaurants are owned by the same people.)

Anyway my friend and I ordered the sweet & sour pork, general tso's chicken & cho fun combination. Amazing! The shrimp on the cho fun was FRESH! The sweet & sour pork was by far the BEST I've had; the pork was cut in small pieces so it remained tender. And the general tso's had a spicy kick to it! (Aslo, we weren't charged for ordering extra rice.)

You wouldn't think it from the looks of the outside, but it is Zagat rated.

The food was fair - poor taste, service was very slow, prices were above what I expected for this neighborhood restaurant - tea was extra.

Chinese food...it's good. Can't say it's the best, but it's not the worst. What I do like about City Lights though is their huge selection of girly-cocktails! Powerful and fun!

Pros: Great selection of girly-drinks

Cons: none

I've ordered take-out from here. The garlic eggplant is out of this world. They make great crab rangoons. All of the food is great. The portions are huge!

The food here is pretty good as far as Chinese food goes. Their delivery is good and reliable, thought it usually takes upward of an hour (typical of delivery around here for some reason). Prices are very reasonable.
