I too had an awful experience with Kreiger. In fact, I don't think anyone has ever been so utterly rude and offensive when I simply called for service. When I even hinted at the idea that there was a problem with the well they installed

A complete misery to deal with. From the first day when they sent a man to give me an estimate and he flooded my basement. They have a local monopoly so I had no choice but to deal with them. They made a hole in my cinderblock wall in error which they had to hastily patch up. The put pipes in places I told them I did not want. They needed to come back at least 6 or 7 times to re do the plumbing they did and to re do the electric work they did. They knew I was a weekender and could not leave the house through the week with a leak. They were incredibly rude to me, used foul language, hungup on me more than once. There is still a leak, but I have given up on them. I wish I had never called them. Even though they made numerous mistakes, causing me to have to change my schedule many times to be there for them to come by to fix their errors, they treated ME like I was the worst customer ever. They were angry with me every time I called, even though I was trying my best to exercise patience. When I asked to speak to a customer service representative, I was told that no one wants to talk to me.
If at all possible, go with town water. If you must deal with them then watch EVERYTHING they do. Stand over them if you must. I wish I had, I wouldn't have holes in my wall, or pipes coming into the house in the worst places or watermarks in my basement from minor floods and leaks.
