As a student of MCOC i wouldn't recommend enrolling, it's nothing trendy or current, no fancy establishment, and the kit you get is just mediocre. It'll get you though state boards if you are a motivated student, but don't expect to learn extensions, makeup application, wig making, or gel/acrylic nails. Other schools do offer more knowledgeable classes on these services, and even perform them on paying clientele. Expect to pay for more supplies that are not in your kit that you receive, and the one day that they have someone come in to show you gel nails be prepared to pay for those supplies out of pocket if you want to participate. Pivot Point is the curriculum that is used, it evolves at lot of lines and a little more work than other teachings, but very easy to understand. The cleanliness of the clinic is substandard in my opinion. The staff and instructors are friendly and for basic cosmetology needs helpful, it's about the only aspect of the school that exceeded my expectations. Staff and students both try and make sure that clientele feel welcomed and pleased with the service that they had done.

I love going here for massages and facials. You can't beat $20 for an hour of relaxation. The massages are done by students in semi-private rooms. In other words, it is a large room with dividers separating the clients. It has a nice atmosphere and it is a great way to get a whole day at the spa for less than half of the cost.

I have taken both my kids, boy and girl, to Mo College of Cosmetology and they did a good job. I think the price is only $5.00. I don't have anything fancy done w/my kids hair so it works out great. I have also had my hair cut there and I was happy with the job that was done. I don't suggest the really big jobs like hair color and perms because I haven't tried them, but for a simple cut or trim they are great!
