Rayvic's has been in business for 72 years so obviously they are doing something right. Therefore its a pretty safe bet to assume that the whiny complaining person is the type that isn't happy anywhere they go and and just likes to waste time and cause problems for businesses.

Rayvic's is the best repair shop I have ever been to, completely the opposite of what the previous moron wrote. They are always very up front and honest, and keep me updated frequently on the status of my vehicle. They never do work without my authorization and the bill is never a surprise. They even offer rides and loaner cars and will wait for me to pick my car up if I am running late. Some people, like the previous reviewer, are never happy no matter where they go. They will be unsatisfied with any shop and will waste everyone's time and cause a problem. Rayvic's has been in business for 72 years so they must be doing something right!

Pros: Location, Customer Service, Large clean facility

Cons: Close early in the evenings and weekends, sometimes booked a few days out

I was out of town on a Friday at 2:00pm and on my way home to Duluth while my not so reliable car broke down. The tow truck diver recomended me to Rayvic. I thought that I wouldnt get my car back until Monday but they were able to repair it on the same day. The diganosis was done and my problem was quickly resolved, it turned out I needed a new alternator. Without Rayvic I wouldn't have made it home for the weekend. Thanks, Rayvic!

I have been to Rayvic's on 4 different occasions. The first was a simple O2 sensor replacement. I brought my own parts and instructed them on exactly which sensor to replace. Fix went smoothly.

Next two times I needed them to order parts for me. They did, and on BOTH occasions, they ordered the wrong parts. The first time they were able to re-order and get the parts installed the same day. The second I had to wait 24 hours for them to re-order and replace. Not to bad, especially considering I had a second car.

Fourth time was the kicker. Brought my car in for soft brakes and told them I thought possibly I just needed a brake bleed. I said I wasn't sure, so please diagnose and let me know what the issue is. They did, and stated that a bad wheel bearing was causing my poor braking, and that it needed to be replaced. I wasn't sure, but hey, if the wheel bearing needs fixing, then fix it.

No call back to let me know that my car was fixed, so I called and they said everything was fixed and working fine. Picked up my car, NO DIFFERENCE! Went back, but everyone had gone home for the night, so I called back the following morning. Went a little something like this:

Rayvic: "No, the Brakes are fine! I drove it myself and everything is great."

Me: "Uh, there no different than when you drove it yesterday! You told me that the reason the brakes were soft was cause of the bearing".

Rayvic: "No, I told you we looked at the brakes and everything seemed OK, but we found the wheel bearing problem".

Me: "So, did you even drive my car yesterday BEFORE fixing it?"

Rayvic: "Yes."

Me: "And you thought they were OK then?"

Rayvic: "Yes, everything was great".

What's missing here? UH, the previous day he told me that the brakes were SOFT because OF A BAD BEARING! Now today he says that the brakes felt GREAT!

Long story short, if you want to be lied to, then head on over to Rayvics. Bring your tape recorder!

Pros: Good Service if you know what you want done, and have the parts to do it. Or if you like being lied to, then Rayvic's if a fun place to go.

Cons: If you hate lying mechanics, then don't go here. If you need diagnosing, again, don't go here.

I just had an emergency with my car today, and I called Rayvic and they let me bring my car immediately, and they fixed it in 20 minutes!
I think they were very friendly, and professional.
The price of their gasoline was reasonable also.

PROS: Fast and professional
CONS:
