We recently had Easter Brunch at harry's and It was the worst thing I ever had. The food was of poor quality and cold. The carved roast beef was so TOUGH you could not bit it. The desserts were of poor quality, store bought, and stale.

We went here in May for an evening out with an out of town friend. It was absolutely awful. We waited an hour and a half for our food and some was frozen when it arrived. They did the right thing. They comped our meals and gave us $50 to come back and try them again. Flash forward to today. My wife took our daughter and her mother for lunch this afternoon. They once again waited 45 mins for their food. My mother in law's soup never came, my daughters burger was burnt to a crisp, and my wife's wrap was missing several ingredients she asked for. So after giving them a second chance, I will say we will NEVER go back to this place. I can't believe that they charge the prices they do for such shoddy service and poor food . Luckily there are a lot of nice restaurants in the Buffalo area that we will happily spend our money at.

Pros: Nice view

Cons: The worst service ever!

We went to Harry's last night for our 4yr wedding anniversary. I was excited since I'd looked online and saw Filet Mignon was on the menu. The prices were higher than the Buffalo Chop House, so I was sure we'd be in for a great experience, as I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I was also looking forward to a seafood starter. Everything was looking up when we arrived. Our waiter, Dana, was very nice and selected an excellent wine for us. We ordered the steak house style salad and the seafood chowder. The salad was soggy and drowned in a pesto style sauce with way too many capers. It was an odd combination, but OK. The seafood chowder was fine, but I expected a chowder that would knock my socks off. The base was creamy, and did not pick up the seafood flavor all that much. I liked the red potatoes with the skins in the chowder. We both ordered the Filet Mignon, medium for my husband and medium rare for me. We also got the broccoli for two and the giant baked potato. It arrived, gray with a hint of pink - I couldn't even get any juice out of it when I pressed it. Medium rare means red translucent cool center and dripping red. Nope, not even close. I cut it in front of the waiter, he wanted me to taste it to be sure I didn't like it and left for a bit. Nope. He took it back. Then, someone dropped off another steak and said "enjoy your filet of sirloin", which was on the menu. I sawwed into a tough, marbled cut of meat. Cooked appropriately, but not Filet Mignon! I tasted to be sure, and got the charred, heavy flavor and tougher texture of sure enough, sirloin! I told the waiter - he declared it was filet mignon. Nope. Plus, the broccoli was served luke warm (now cold) and the potato without chives. I didn't eat the sides awaiting my steak. At this point, though, I gave up. Forget the entree. He said "at least let me get you a dessert" and he apologized. It was on the bill. Along with the sides. The steak was not. Disappointing.

Cons: average food despite extravagant expense,

We had a TERRIBLE dining experience at Harrys recently! My Mom's birthday gathering and we (8 of us) were looking forward to a great meal to celebrate. We arrived at 7:00 for our reservations and had to wait about 20 minutes to even be greeted. We had to ask the manager to send a waiter over. After he finally came over we ordered our appetizers right away and waited for over half an hour for those to arrive. Our server, Paul F. was TERRIBLE! We asked for drink refills and he forgot and didn't apologize or even acknowledge that we were waiting forever. We had to ask for bread....how sad! We waited so long for our entrees that the bus boy cleared our silverware.....when our entrees finally before 9:00, almost two hours after we had arrived.....we had to wait for new silverware. The worst part was watching another party of eight that arrived half an hour after us; being served by a competent waiter....enjoy their appetizers, entrees, and dessert before we even got our entrees. It's understandable if the kitchen was in the weeds and they were crazy busy...but they weren't.....but our waiter never even seemed to realize that we were waiting forever. It would have been nice if he had at least acknowledged that we were waiting so long. Needless to say we didn't stay for dessert. When I told the manager how disappointed we were, all she offeed me was a hug.
We will NOT be back! Don't go there!
**The food was mediocre**

We have enjoyed Harry's for dinner many times. If the weather cooperates we sit outside but the inside is beautiful too. It is pricey but the lobster is very good and the service excellent. The desserts are delicious also! We never go home hungry.

Harry's west facing windows provide a fabulous view of the Niagara River - especially at sunset. We were really looking forward to our son's wedding reception. Harry's is pretty costly, but we figured the fabulous setting and the positive reputation of the restaurant would be worth it. Despite charging us a 20 percent gratuity on the bar bill, the bartenders had the audacity to place tip cups on the bars (patio and inside) and collect additional monies from our guests. Complaints to management during and after the event went without response. This is outrageous, especially considering the thousands of dollars we spent for this event.

I just wanted to give a fair account of Harry's, i've read some bad reviews about there service but decided to take a gamble and went anyways. So first off I was looking for a romantic dining experience to share with my girlfriend on our 4 year anniversary and i got what i was hoping for. Upon calling to assure reservations the girl on the phone was awesome she answered all my questions and helped out alot by making sure we recieved a candlelight dinner and recommending and reserving us this prime table #60 in the corner a little bit away from everyone. The food was impressive and delicious and our waiter was friendly and helpful with questions, recommendations, and requests. The entire experience was very satisfying, the view was beautiful and the ambience was romantic with the live piano player. Harry's made my 4 year anniversary magical! Thanx
