I too had the same experience with the ants in my room. I gave birth to my daughter last year April. Not only did I have an ant problem but also the bathroom was so dirty. It had blood stains in the shower. I asked the nurse to take a look at it and she immediately changed my room. Once I got into my new room there was still an ant problem there and the bathroom was still dirty. It seems as though they do not clean the bathrooms often. No wonder I got an infection during delivery. The facilities where not very impressive but the staff was great.

I hate to mention this, as I loved their staff and the attention given to my daughter and I during our stay last year. But really, it wouldn't be a good review if I weren't honest. There was a terrible ant infestation in the recovery portion of the maternity ward. I had a very hard time trying to rest and recover when I constantly saw ants going up and down the walls, or even worse... near my sleeping daughter's bassinet. I didn't want them near her, so I asked the nurses to take her into the main infant area for a much larger portion of time than I would have, had the rooms been ant-free. I really feel like this put a huge damper on my experience, as I was very restless and couldn't wait to get out of there because of the infestation. It was absolutely disgusting. I still gave the hospital 3 stars, because their staff was wonderful and caring. They offered many free programs to assist in the birth, and their follow up care was excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend the hospital unless the infestation has been taken care of, however.
