I have been going there for 10 years and always find something new and interesting. They have a wonderful collection of animals and a helpful staff. There is food and children's activities. They also have shows and a wonderful gift store. Highly recommend a visit.

We have a season pass to Claws N Paws since we love it so much. It's a good small zoo for younger kids who don't need the size of a major zoo. We love being able to get up close and personal with the turtles, deer, Lory parrots and giraffe. It only takes around an hour and a half to walk all the loops in the zoo with small kids, so it's not overwhelming for them. The enclosures are a bit small, but the animals seem healthy. Tips: bring boots if it's rained recently. Bring your own picnic lunch, snack bar is limited. Make sure the kids don't run, the paths are mostly on hills with loose gravel.

PROS: feed the giraffe and Lory parrots,
CONS: very muddy if it's rained recently, no running water on site, limited food

My kids loved going here! You do need an all-terrain stroller, but the effort is worth it. They get to see the animals close up and even in the dead of summer it's not too hot because almost everything is in the woods, so no direct sun. They have a small snack stand where you can grab a hot dog or soda and it wasn't too expensive either, a nice surprise!

Every year the kids look forward to our trips to Claws N Paws during the summer. It's a bit of a drive for us, but the trip takes you off the highway and through some nice backroads which makes it more enjoyable. The zoo itself seems to sit in the middle of almost nowhere. The admission fee is quite reasonable...there are a good amount of animals to see...they have a petting area...and there are also shows involving the animals that go on throughout the day. The food offered there is not overly priced. There is a lot of walking, but since you are in a fairly heavily wooded area, it's shady and easygoing.

They have a pretty nice set up here of animals. Most animals are here that you would want to see, such as giraffes and tigers. They keep it nicely maintained and there is generally enough room for the animals in their habitats, I think. The park is pretty well kept and clean. I spent the day here learning about and watching the animals. It costs over $10 for an adult, so for the extra driving, it's worth the trip to the Philly zoo. I guess this is OK for people who are visiting the area or don't like driving far to go to the zoo.

This is a little local animal park for kids of all ages. For it being out of the way and fairly small they have a big selections of animals. When last I checked they have a giraffe, tiger, monkey, and a cute petting zoo as it'sa biggest attractions. It is not too much to get in and though the ride is long, it is through the beautiful countryside. The only problem is that the walkways are stone and dirt so it is a little difficult to navigate a stroller though the park.

Claws N Paws is a great zoo in the wilderness. It has a country setting in the woods of northeastern PA. When you enter you receive walking trail map of the zoo. You walk dirt paths to look at all the animals. They offer many different shows a day where they explain about the different kinds of animals at the zoo. You may even get the chance to touch a few if you would like. They also have a petting zoo. We really enjoy Claws N Paws. I think they have just as many animals as the bigger zoos but it feels like you can get a closer look.
