It has been a year or so since I went to Joseph Decuis with my Aunt and Husband. I read the menu today and see there are still no main courses for Vegetarians, so we will not be returning.
When we were there they were not happy with a vegetarian who "drops" in without calling ahead, and so they had to "come" up with "something" for me to eat and it was not acceptable really. They told me to call in advance to tell them a vegetarian was coming.
Simply put, not returning and I am certain it is nothing that will upset them; however, many people enjoy eating meatless dishes for a change of pace and if they offered a delicious alternative people would eagerly try it. I do not mean a vegetarian alfredo, too many of those at too many restaurants. I mean vegetables prepared simply in such a way to rejoice in their simple and delicious flavors.
Wishing you were more flexible in this area.

Joseph Decuis is a bit of an oddity. One would not expect to find such a find restaurant in a town like Roanoke, but it is well worth the trip there to taste the exquisite food offered here. A dinner is an event that can last over three hours, as everything is spaced out so that you become hungry again before the next course is brought out. The menu is constantly changing, adding each week what is sure to be a new favorite of yours. Each time I've been there, I've ordered something different, and each time it has been splendid. The waiters were as nice as could be, and very knowledgeable - he was even willing to give us a tour of the grounds after our meal, which was very impressive. I couldn't recommend this place more.
PROS: Great food, atmosphere, location, staff
CONS: Could be a bit pricey
