beautiful shops. awesome artists. extremely clean and professional. You WILL NOT find a nicer, cleaner tattoo studio in the area! they do it all from a little flower to a huge custom backpiece. Portraits too! Check them out..... you won't be disappointed.

You got a good tattoo for a good price. You can't please everyone. Especially pieces of $... like you. My work speaks for itself. Maybe next time opt for a spray tan you nancy.

the following is my experience at sink the ink. This is a review of TOM TAYLOR and does not speak to the rest of the artists at sink the ink.

first i will start off by saying that the shop is very clean and the people are nice. This is all good but my main concern is the quality of work.

I recieved a tattoo from tom taylor (it was an irish theme tat composed of a banner wrapped around a shillally and brass knuckles) i had been thinking about for a while. I choose tom based on the work i saw online (which looked excellent) and after doing a good amount of research.

Mid may i recieved the tat and i thought it looked good and was happy with it. This was until i got home and realized that the shaft of the shillally was crooked and didnt appear to line up correctly. the banner also had a piece missing and and didnt make sense at the bottom. By didnt make sense i am referring to it not being able to happen that way if in real life if you wrapped the banner around these two objects. the onus of blame for this is on me for not recognizing it but also the artist, tom, for not drawing it up correctly. I believe Tom should have noticed all of these mistakes when the tattoo was done. As a side note the line work and shading were done well at this session.

after this i allowed the tat to heal for approximately 5 weeks, at which point i scheduled another appointment in order to fix some of these mistakes and touch up the tat.

The touch up was done a few days ago and is where i had the bulk of my problems. I had sent tom an email of the tat as per his request along with another pic of the tat where i drew in some lines which would correct the problem. the touch up was much more sloppy than the previous work.

first off, tom used a different tattoo gun or something being that the lines are of different thickness. second, he noticably went over one of the lines in the tat. thirdly, i had to keep telling him to add in lines that he was forgetting to make the banner look acceptable. his reason for not adding in certain lines was that they were going to eventually bleed together. This may have been true but with those lines the banner of the tat would have looked incomplete just like it had before. finally he did not go over the whole tattoo during the touch up like i feel he should have and i did not want to keep telling him what to do because he was getting visible frustrated and he had already made a little mistake in one line so i decided that was good enough and left.

on the subject of the touch up i have recieved them in the past and in my understanding you should point things out but the artist should also go over the whole tattoo looking for anything to redo. i am not the artist he is, he should do this automatically.

the touch up was just a bad situation, you depend completelly on the artist and are essentially at there will, so you dont want to keep telling them to do something when they are getting frustrated cause the work will suffer.

every time i show this p.o.s. to somebody they keep pointing out all the things that are off, i tried to have him fix it and he made it worse.

if you recieve a tattoo from TOM prepare for the worst and if you go through with it make sure you look over it for atleast a day to make sure everything is as it should be.

of course im partly to blame because i let it happen, but Tom is mostly to blame for not recognizing his mistakes.

so far i havent gone back to an artist for more work is it that hard to find someone truly good who is a perfectionist in their work.

I wish I could give zero stars. The people who work in the Doylestown location are truly rude and do their absolute best to make you feel as if you're bothering them. My husband and I went in to get 2 very simple tatoos done and the guy we spoke with couldnt have been less pleasant or more arrogant. We were given one price upon setting up an appointment and when we went in to get them done the price had suddenly nearly doubled... the guy then had the nerve to try and blame us for the issue. They are extremely unprofessional which makes me wonder how well their work can be. From our experience these people dont deserve (or apparently want) the business.

Lies... They got a quote from one artist, made an appt. with another. changed the size and placement on the husbands (which explains the difference in price) AND had an attitude about it, so it was rescheduled with the artist who gave them a quote. First appt. was for 2/13, they were resheduled for 2/16 and seemed to have no problem coming back... instead went home on the 13th and left this review. called on the 15th to cancel and tell one artist that the other was saying bad things about him.. that he "works in a ghetto shop, tattooing ghetto people" WHO DOES THAT??? They are the ones who were rude!!! We handled our business PROFESSIONALLY!

After a lot of research, I went to Sink The Ink for my last tattoo based on the reviews and their detailed website.

I had very simple, easy, custom design in-hand that was roughly 2in x 2in, no color, for placement on my wrist.

*No effort was put into my design!*

I had just planned on getting the plain black outline done, but told them that I wouldn't mind hearing suggestions on color or shading from the artist. Instead I was given a price quote on the outline only. I should've known then that the artist had no interest in putting much effort into the work.

The studio itself was nice and clean, but the tattoo area is set up as an open, bullpen-style area, so there's no privacy. This also lends itself to the artists talking to each other the whole time and getting distracted during the process. The guy who did my tattoo barely said a word to me, instead talking to the other artists about lunch options while he rushed through my design. It felt like he couldn't care less about my tattoo or the quality of his work, rather than just getting it done ASAP so he could get lunch.

After I removed the bandage, I realized how distorted the design was. Straight lines are crooked and jagged, curves are not fluent, corners aren't connected, some lines are thick, some are thin.... He had my skin so stretched out that the entire design is skewed.

Apparently the artist who did my tattoo has over 20 years experience, according to the website, but looking at the end-result you wouldn't think that. I even had someone ask me if I did the tattoo myself!

This is very upsetting because this design has a special meaning to me and he basically put no real effort into the work.

I plan on getting some color/shading and possibly some text around the design to help mask the amateur look of the base, but I will not be returning to Sink The Ink.

Question.... If you were that unhappy about your tattoo why not come back and demand it be fixed? We stand behind our work and if someone is not happy we will try our best to resolve the situation. Try calling or coming back instead of immediately leaving a bad review. We've had clients comment that they like that we have an open area, so friends can watch and talk, instead of being alone in a room with someone you don't know. Everyone enjoys themselves, including the artists. What's wrong with talking about what you're going to eat for lunch? Everybody has to eat!

Simply Amazing.... and to the person below: if your tattoo "fell out" wouldn't you go back there and demand they fix it. I would think anyone who spent money on a tattoo would want it to look good. and anyone who knows anything about Sink The Ink, KNOWS you get free touch ups.

unfortunately, since Sink The Ink is a very successful tattoo and body piercing establishment, it has many haters. you can see the reviews below are all posted on the same day, which means they were all posted by the same person, or group of people. none of it is true. recently we've had someone leave our shop who seems to think they can do it better... WRONG. maybe they've realized that now and aren't doing so good, so they have much time to sit around and do this. all you have to do is go to the website, check us out, we have nothing to hide, come in and ask to see around, ask to speak to the artists. on our website are galleries of all the artists work and pictures of our shop including our decontamination and sterilization areas. like I said, we have nothing to hide. come see for yourself. Our standards exceed OSHA standards.
We are the first and ONLY tattoo and body piercing studio in Doylestown! Come see for yourself!!!

Sink The Ink is the cleanest and best tattoo shop I have ever been in. The people there are awesome, prices are great and I can't wait to go back again for my next tattoo. During my short wait I was offered coffee, t.v and use of the internet. Everyone was so helpful. My new tattoo is my best tattoo. I couldn't be more pleased.

Sink the ink is owned by people who think tattoos are cool and have no idea what they are doing. The people who tattoo there are taught my a doofy guy named gabs who was an electrician then decided to teach himself how to tattoo. He is teaching other kids how to tattoo---all work is bad and you will regret it! Do not go there!!!!

I visited Sink the Ink in Doylestown, Pa on a Thursday last month. My fiance and I came in to look at flash and get tattooed on a spur of a moment. I would not recommend this shop!!! They are not friendly and have no idea what customer service is. We stood around with questions three times and had to holler in the back to have anyone pay attention. Plus the shop is dead and creepy like a morgue. NOT a normal tattoo shop!!! Not a Tattoo Parlor!! There is other shops in the area!!!!
