I felt the need to write this review after reading the other reviews already posted! This company has performed numerous services for us in the past 10 years. They have been to my house to fix my refrigerator. They also sold us our refrigerator, washer, and dryer! Recently we needed to move into a smaller home and they also did that! They have been in the Syracuse area for many years. My parents recommended them to us and we have been repeatedly satisfied. They have always been courteous, professional and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them to everyone and I have never had anyone w/ a bad experience. Thank you to all at Charette Brothers.

I felt the need to write this review after reading the other reviews already posted! This company has performed numerous services for us in the past 10 years. They have been to my house to fix my refrigerator. They also sold us our refrigerator, washer, and dryer! Recently we needed to move into a smaller home and they also did that! I really thought I could trust this guy, Dave Charette from Charette Brothers moving company, but I was sadly mistaken. He told me he graduated high school with my sister and lived in a nearby town. When he told me that his company could move us on the date required I was very happy, but he said that they could not fit all of our belongings on one truck and that a second truck would come in a couple of weeks and bring us the remainder of our belongings.

Unfortunately, my husband's employer paid in full for a half assed job. We received about two thirds of our belongings and we are waiting almost two months for the rest of our stuff!

After more than a dozen phone calls to the company with extremely rude girls answering the phone, and empty promises, almost two months have passed and I am wondering if i will ever get my washing machine and other important belongings. I took a day off from work because I finally got a call from the driver that they were delivering today. I called them multiple times today after no one showed and finally got ahold of the driver at 6 PM. He told me that the "boss" cancelled our delivery and was supposed to call us. I find it interesting that the driver can reach us but the owner hasn't lifted a finger to contact us?

I read the previous review detailing the poor customer service and also read the response that "Charette VP" answered with. It seemed like he didn't accept any responsiblity for his inaction. I wished I had read this back in May when it was posted. It is quite obvious to me that nothing has changed for the better.

Dave or "Charette VP", Can you call me or email me or hey, just send me my stuff? Apparently this is the only communication you respond to. My husband is contacting his employer to determine what we can do legally to get their money back and/or our belongings. I'm tired of going to the laundrymat because you have my washer. Stop wasting our time and energy and do the job you were paid to do almost two months ago!

Accidents happen. I understood that when the movers from Charette Brothers broke my bed nearly 2 months ago. Since then, due to the appalling lack of professionalism, service, and even interest from the staff and management at Charette Brothers, I have gone from merely disappointed to actually irate.
The company has not returned a single one of my phone calls. One person I spoke to on the phone was rude and belittling in her attitude. It took them weeks to even get around to doing a damage assessment, and weeks after that to actually cut a check, which as of nearly two months after moving I still have not seen due to the fact that it has been sent to the wrong address. Evidently, no manager there is in the office in the afternoon, which means the receptionists get to handle the brunt of the complaints.
The company has lots of excuses for their lack of professionalism: changes in management and particular people being away, for example. None of these are acceptable reasons for failing to provide even a marginal level of customer service.
Just to be clear, I was not angry with the men who actually broke my furniture. It was the appalling lack of service and complete unprofessionalism of the staff and management that has led me to write this review. I recommend that moving company customers steer clear of Charette Brothers. They might get your furniture there intact, but if not, their actions (or lack thereof) show clearly that they just don't care.
