The service is crap
The bouncers are all uneducated, and obviously have a stick up their ass.
They don't know how to deal with people AT ALL!!
All they want to do is argue with everyone to perhaps feel like they're doing something.

the staff is the most racist group of people I have ever encountered in my life. After over-priced watered down drink, the bouncers rudely grabbed mine rear-end while telling my boyfriend that he had to leave for throwing something at another guest. Ridiculous. I hope you chose to avoid this place as the guys here obviously have some serous issues to work out.

Pros: they will discriminate and kick you out for no reason

Cons: the bouncer grabbed my ass

After a few years, Nikki Midtown still keeps the party going! While the bouncers are tough, they know how to run a place. The crowd is respectful, well-dressed and knows how to have a good time. Get there a little early and enjoy dinner that rolls into the night. There food is very good! Great place to have corporate and private parties there as well as I have in the past. Looking forward to a return visit!

I visited here recently. It was not my first time. The other times were pleasant, fun, good crowd. The bouncers are RUDE and the guy letting you in...worse! I had a friend with a table already inside and we had to talk our way in. We had two others joining us within the next 15 minutes and they would NOT let them in!!! I honestly think they were just plain old prejudice. The only way in was to tip the door guy or order a $500 bottle service for a group of 5 girls. I will not attempt to go back here anymore....who wants to have a good time with a bunch of stuck up people who don't know how to talk to you with respect. I think I could have gotten better treatment at the drive through window at mcdonalds.

The bouncer mistreated us and then there was this wasted lady who took all our sweaters and threw them in the air and on the floor and the bouncer yells at us!!! If you are on this site claiming you had great service...please take a look at your race and status.

Cons: Everything Else

I used to like Nikki Beach.
Recently I was there for a Cornell event and was not allowed access to the area that was reserved for our party. The manager let several other WHITE men through and when asked he ignored my requests to enter our own party. Finally, he asked the bouncer to have me leave.
I cant believe that New York City has such people. An uneducated bouncer manager asking a medical doctor to leave. I would never go back to this place.

Before I could even order a drink I was harassed by staff and bouncers. The bouncers were constantly and aggressively pushing patrons around. I saw one fight break out. The staff are rude and nasty. Maybe if you buy five $200 bottles for your table, as they requested, they will be nice.

Recently I returned to Nikki Beach and again was very happy wioth my experience there. This a great club to dance and enjoy great drinks. The club had a bongo player on the dance floor which enhanced the smooth dance music. When I have friends visiting town - Nikki Beach is a good spot to take them. We'll be back.

I went to this club on halloween night, it wasn't dress up halloween style - dress pants & shoes. i have done some clubbing in my time & i know decent music when i hear it. for me its all about the crowd and the music. this place didn't let me down. it was my first time there so its always a challenge to find your way around especially after a few drinks. people where relaxed and cool....i had a blast & so did my friends. the drinks were strong & priced accordingly but at least there was some alcohol in them...im going back this friday with some work mates and intend to blast it out again.

I was there last Saturday Night 11/8/08 for a Birthday Party. I thought the music was not to great but was willing to deal with it. The cost of the party was about $4,500.00. I think the layout is pretty nice and the place was well decorated. As we were leaving the club we were nearly run over by a couple of really drunk gentlemen. As we confronted them the bouncers grabbed us and let the other gentlemen back inside. Thinking that the treatment was unfair we made comment to the bouncers. The Bouncer then said to us"What do you expect froma biast club".
I guess our expectations would be to be treated fairly. Is that too much to ask. Not to mention the $4,500.00 dollars spent on the surprise party. That really left a damper on the evening and festivities. The good thing is this is Manhattan and there are plenty of places to party, so we will continue to try new locations.
As for my recommendation it stands to reason I do not recommend this venue. Example would be if you went shopping and found the perfect outfit, but it took you two hours to pay for it, would you go back to that store? Some times the last impressions matter as much as the first impressions.
Lastly if the Bouncers (Club employees) operate with a preconceived notion that the club is "biast", is that the intent of the Management?

I had very low expectations for this place this past Saturday night. Although I was on the mark that there would be a lot of foreigners/tourists, I overall had a good time. Got in no problem (a bit after 11 pm), no cover charge, the ambience was nice, the bartenders were friendly, the drinks are same price where you get at any other decent lounge/club, and the music was shockingly good. I don't really like house/techno/electronica/whatever you call it but it was good!! I'm usually a hop hop only person but the music they played had good, danceable beat. And there was this chick who played the VIOLIN to the music, and made it even hotter. I don't know how she did it, if she was there just for that one night, or whatever, but it was pretty impressive. I enjoyed it, it's a fun place if u just wanna go hang out with a group of friends. I wouldn't count on meeting people here though. The crowd seemed very international, not that that's bad, but depends what you are looking for.

Before I went to Nikki Midtown tonight I read all these negative reviews about service such as the doormen, waitresses, bouncers, and bartenders. As a New Yorker, I am ashamed to say that Nikki Midtown is one of the most pathetic clubs we have in New York. For instance, the bartenders are nothing but rude idiots. When i asked to close out my tab, the bar tender told me i had to close it with the bar tender that opened my tab and then walked away and completely ignored me. All these bartenders wear the same outfit and look the same. How was I suposed to remember? Besides that, the bouncers guard this lame VIP space even though there is nobody there. After eating dinner there, they actually kicked my out of the VIP area. Again, this place is so lame!!! It's 3:30am so I'll have to stop here but if you're a tourist, do yourself a favor and go to the meatpacking district. They are much more professional there than these clowns!!

Located in one of the trendiest sections of New York City, With a pristine white dcor all over, vaulted ceilings, bamboo posts and rustic wood tables, I love coming here to lounge with friends amongst pillows, and cocktails. Sample the complimentary tapas platters at happy hour! Prices are reasonable for this bar.

If you enjoy hangling with pretentious a$$holes then this is the place for you. I called to schedule a birthday party for over 50 people and was refused entry at the door. I was told it was reservation only and was not told that the several times that I called earlier in the week. Certain people were being admitted without reservations right in front of my face. I guess I did not fit the profile they were looking for and was not wealthy enough to hang with the cool people. The manager at the door wanted me to pay him $5,000.00 to get my party in! If you are thinking of having a party here I seriously suggest that you either have loads of cash and that you think twice about taking their word over the phone because they lie.

Hats off to LQ who saved the day and took my whole party in right at the front door.

I've been to many clubs in NYC. This is one of the better ones. Amazing music, great sound system, the tables that run down the middle of the place turn into a catwalk type dance floor when the club opens up. There is a VIP room upstairs with a separate DJ which is ok. But I always enjoy hanging out downstairs, no matter how many times I go there.
Drinks are average NY prices. The crowd is pretty diverse, and although not everyone is young, everyone is trendy.
Again, I always enjoy the music.
Some of the other reviews on here annoy me. I've never had to wait on line here......as opposed to many other clubs in the city. I've never been forced into buying bottle service either.

This is the type of place where you don't really need to buy bottle service. There are couches that line the dance floor.
I've never had a problem with coat check.

And who gives a club a bad review because the go-go dancers aren't on top of the tables enough?

If you make over a million dollars a year, open your own club. And don't go there to have dinner.

Just go with a group of friends, let loose, and dance on the catwalk to the awesome sound system. The bass will shake your bones.

Enjoy!

the worst and rude door people: they just try to find a reason to make you buy more bottles ...
especially you have a group.
space: make sure you don't get your table on the hallway to the bathroom and it still cost you 4 bottles!!
too crowed
Drink: well ...we just mix our battles by ourslves~.. so same as the one i made at home :(
Dancer: I stayed there for about 5 hours and I only saw her dancing on the table for 20 mins??!! :O
Atmosphere: no style and just try to make you feel dizzy...
they were just using their flashlight to get attention.. maybe I should bring one by myself... lol
Coat check: unorganized and cost 3 dollors ....make sure you don't have anything valuable in your coat or purse..
In a word, I really hope you can find another one instead of Nikki Beach!!

Who are these people kidding? This place is just a joke, bad food, bad service and the management needs to be fired. I am not even going to get into the details on how bad this place is. For anyone like myself that makes well over a million a year, I would never go back.

Nikki Beach use to be a cool and fun place to go. However, just like any club it seems that their time has come. They no longer attract and celebs. The celebs that you do see on their website are either paid for or at one of the film festival events that they host. However, even a McDonalds located in the middle of the Cannes film festival will attract more celebs that Nikki Beach.
I believe (and it seems that most everyone else has similar thoughts) that Nikki Beach is done and their Nikki Midtown location seems to be a good indicator of this downward spiral. Some of their locations that I have been to in St. Barths and St Tropez are great. But they are not run by Jack and their son (Mr. slick back hair) but rather a guy named Eric who seems to be a much better business person. Also, these locations are busy by default?.. kind of like winning a race with no one else in it.
Nothing more to say really??.. except that I would not recommend this to someone even as a joke?.
Ciao!

Been twice. First time was a blast. Friendly staff and doormen, quick service. Music was good. Crowd was fun and somewhat looking, not to mention seeing some celebs. Couldnt wait to go back. When I returned a month or so later I found it was no the same. Hardly anyone inside, music was boring and we left after 20 minutes. Maybe 3rd time will be a charm...

I had gone to Nikki beach a few times and thought it would be a great place to throw my 25th birthday party on a Saturday night. First off, they were uspet that I had a few more people show up. With bottle service and $22 mojitos, I figured they would be greatful that my friends and I were spending a great deal of money. However, after a few bottles we were told they needed the table, even though I had a reservation for the whole night and had already spent close to $1000. Turns out the table was used for one of the dancers to dance on. This place really needs to get off of its high horse because of all the "trendy" places in New York, this definetely does not make the list for the attitude the staff provides. If you want a fun time and do not mind spending, head to to the Meatpacking District because this place is a joke.

I just tried this place out for the first time last week. We had no trouble getting in and it was attitude-free. The decor is really relaxing and chic, and it was quite surprising that neither guys nor girls had to pay cover on a Friday night. So we got in and there was so much seating- even if you don't have reservations or table service, there's room enough for almost everyone. The first floor basically played trans music. if you're into that, you can dance on the "runway" that's in the center of the place. if you're into hip/hop music, head to the 2nd floor. the music was good- it was crowded, but not unbearable like most places, plus it was a really great environment to be with friends. i found myself forgetting that i was in a manhattan club!

Although the drinks are pricey, the waitstaff is friendly and the food is delicious (especially the calamari with the side salad). I have been there 3 times and each time it gets better and better. I highly recommend this place!!

Where do I even start??? I met up with a large group of friends around the end of March. Had no issues getting in. I got there early so I was surprised at the fact that it was crowded, but pleased that it wasn't too over crowded. The music was fun, mostly dance music. Hip hop was upstairs, but that area was off limits due to a private party being held. At 11:30, things went downhill - the music turned into semi-hardcore techno, got very crowded to the point where no place was a good place to stand. The large table in the middle of the dance floor made it difficult to get around and should not be there.

We finally were allowed upstairs, and the private party of about 10 people were roped off on one side of the space. The rest of us were crammed together and forced to listen to some sort of slow style hip hop that had a lot us yawning. I went to the ladies room before I left only to see a waitress walk out of a stall and right out the door, skipping the sink (I knew it was an employee b/c of the real stylish blue outfit that she was wearing). My last stop was the coat check; the coat check girl could not find some guys coat and told him to check the other coat check. This poor guy was pretty sober, so I think he remembered where he check it. Unfortunately I do not know if they ever found it.

Our party of 8 arrived just after 9 pm. We sat at our table for about 30 min before anyone helped us with water or drinks. They gave us a six-person table--the gap between the end legs made it almost impossible to sit at each end of the table. Second, the table was wobbling all over the place, so we had to call a busboy to fix it.

We ordered appetizers around 9:30, and by 10:30 we hadn't received a word from the waitress nor the manager, so I had to go look for the manager. Soon after we asked for more water. The waitress hurried over and placed the bottle on the table without filling the glasses!? Never seen anything like it!? This was just one example of the poor service. The pretty faces and turquoise dresses can only go so far. When you're in a restaurant business, you have to hire waitresses with skills.

Later, we got complimentary bread and sour-cream for the table!? So, after waiting for 1 h 30 min, at a place that will bill your party $600+, you are "rewarded" with bread and sour cream to appease your angry and disappointed guests. Are you kidding me?!

Dinner itself was below average--someone's chicken was too dry, someone's fish was too oily, etc.

To top things off, after finishing dinner, we were "kindly" kicked out of our seating areas. The only other place where the waitress has asked me to leave after finishing dinner has been some trashy diner on lower-east side!

Finally, other than the upper-level bar (which plays hardcore hip-hop and rap), there is no place to stand around and enjoy your drink. They have a massive table in the middle of the dance floor, so that everybody ends up pushing and shoving when the busboys and waitresses are carrying dishes over your head. Sure, people are allowed to dance on the table, but for those who don't enjoy self-exaltation and grinding oneself against people you don't know, there's really no where to "hang out".

In summary, I would definitely not recommend the place.

i went to nikki midtown for friends birthday and i, along with a few other people, went in on a table for the occasion. We were all standing around the table WE PAID FOR and all of a sudden were asked to leave and were physically pushed out of VIP because there were "too many people" (there were about 10). we are so offeneded, it was the most disgusting thing i have ever experienced so far in new york, - they kicked out the wrong people and will regret it on monday. i would recommend actually any other bar, club, lounge, even street corner, over nikki midtown.

I used to love this place until last night when I threw a birthday party for my boyfriend. We spent $1,400.00 and the employees were so rude to us. Our waiter stole $100.00 from us, saying we didn't have enough cash when we knew we did. Then another employee stole my purse and digital camera. The purse turned up "mysteriously" upstairs by the employee area. $100.00 was stolen from my purse and no digital camera. When we spoke to the management they were extremely rude, denying that no employee would steal a purse. They even had the audacity to kick two of my friends out for trying to talk about the theft. We had to call the police because the management handled the whole situation terribly.
IF YOU GO TO NIKKI BEACH - AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU SPEND A LOT OF MONEY - WATCH YOUR CASH!! DO NOT TRUST THEIR EMPLOYEES OR MANAGEMENT.

I don't know what to really write here. It started off ok when it opened, not jammed, music was decent downstairs. At the time it opened, nobody could go upstairs. Around midnite it turn to old school trace and the place blew up with UN genre....people from the 20's to the 50's dancing on the long middle table.

We heard the upstairs was open so we went up to find that everything was closed off unless you wanted a bottle. Music upstairs was older hip hops. They had women (that worked there) on the tables but they weren't anything special.

Overpriced and I felt really bad for the kid in front of me....the coat check people didn't know a thing and couldn't find his coat....they were very unorganized.

My friend had her birthday party there this past saturday night. The door people actually started turning people away becasue she had "too many guests" Who has ever heard of that? Why would they turn away good paying customers? We actually ended up leaving and finding a new place that allowed all of her guests in with no problems!

Ok - lets get this figured out. The venue is fantastic - one of the best bar/lounge venues youll find in the city no question. ive been to Miami many times and theyve surprisingly captured the architecture and physical presence of 1 Ocean Drive pretty well.

But lets be honest here - those who think the music policy in here rocks are teh kind of people who wouldnt get into South Beach. Its absolutely TERRIBLE!

This place has so much potential - unfortunately its let down by the poor quality DJing and awful music being played. How is this allowed to happen - are they desperate to get people through the door or something? there should be queues of people waiting outside - desperately trying to beat the door policy and get in to hear the best international DJs. Unfortunately all you get is a half full club, filled with clueless frigid amateurs listening to a "DJ" who thinks Ricky Martin is a clubbing icon. Pathetic.

Get a decent promoter who knows what hes doing for gods sake!!

I've been to Nikki Midtown twice because I've been in the area and happened to be passing by either with a friend or on a date. If you want a upscale club but don't want the hassle at the door this is a good place to go. The outside looks like a classic suburban home but inside the atmosphere is completely different. Accented with warm lights the front room holds a bar, standing room and two couches with tables in the back. The back room is huge with a large wooden table and couches for bottle service to the back, left and right. It's large enough for dancing and the dj's have been pretty good. Food is OKAY -- not FABULOUS. Specialty drinks are yummy.

Went on a Friday night looking for an alternative to the downtown afterwork scene. If you've ever been to the original Nikki Beach in Miami, you know it's a one of a kind experience and they've done a great job of replicating this for NYC. Apparently it was the first night for DJ Phresh, but he had the house rocking all night. Added perk to this place is you can dance on the tables, and mid-way through the night, everyone was on them shaking their butts. It was a great time had by all and one I've repeated several times since!!

I went there with a girlfriend of mine on a thursday night and we ordered the best caiparinha's EVER! We sat in the lounge area and were automatically served with a plate of crudete on the house. I recommend coming to Nikki Midtown for afterwork cocktails, but this place looks like it would be a hell of a good time on the weekends!

Ok, first let's give this place a little credit. Guys, especially the ones on the prowl, will like this place. The night me and my friend went, they had 2 performing girls in bikini and high heels dancing on the banquet table --- the girls were not impressive dancers, but I give them thumbs up for their courageous acts in front of the sleazy, drooling guys in the front row. If this is enough for some guys to start speed-dialing the place to book a reservation right now, the rest of the sane readers, please read on; The music was definately DEAFENING, and it was not even good music, just the same thing you could hear when you turn on MTV, but it makes any conversation entirely impossible. The screen that was projected with short films of Nikki clubs worldwide seemed not fully rolled down and the projection was blurry to say the least, so it was not fun to watch. The cocktails were among the worst I have tasted. I ordered the Caipirinha, I finished about 1/10 eventually, one piece of the strawberry was definately cut from a poorly washed knife, my friend didn't like hers and had it exchanged for a white wine. The food was mediocre. The waitress was impatient . When my friend told her that the pear in the Nikki salad was not pear but apple, she was augumentative and gave some attitude. When the bill came, the drink my friend returned was on the bill too and we had to tell the waitress to delete it. We did leave 18% tips, I was a waitress once, but we doubt that we will go back again.

I completely disagree with the last review. My friends and I celebrated a birthday party and girls night out in the last few weeks. We had a great time. Management, bar staff and wait staff bent over backwards to satisfy us. We had a sushi platter, and a few entrees. The tuna was excellent and the Mahi Mahi was delicious. Desserts were also great. As for being pricey- you get what you pay for and it keeps the low class undesirables out. If you don't want to spend a fortune on your night out, you can split portions since they are quite large. The DJ was playing hot music all night. We had such a blast. My friends and I were dancing on the long table which turns into a dance floor during the evening. Nikki- we'll be back again soon- we have another reservation for next week!!!

I've been to several of the Nikki Beach Clubs (Miami, St. Barths, Cabo) and Nikki Midtown had to have been my worst dining experience to date! I've had some wonderful dining experiences at the other Nikki Restaurants, so I was excited to try out Nikki Midtown. We went here for my friend's birthday dinner on a weeknight at 8pm. For our 8pm dinner, the music was blasted at FULL club volume....it was deafening! The club was barely full, but they found it necessary to keep the volume at its highest decibel, such that I couldn't even hear the person sitting RIGHT next to me. We asked them to turn down the volume a notch, so that we could enjoy a nice birthday dinner, but the volume remained high thru out the evening (maybe it's the acoustics of the place?). If you are a restaurant owner, I would assume that at 8pm on a weeknight, you would have the music at a lounge-level volume...and then turn it up at around 10ish (Obviously not the case at this place!). The appetizers were tasty, but the main courses were not anything to be desired. Tuna was pretty good, but the Mahi dish was overcooked and so inedible that no one finished their dishes. Desserts were pretty average. And, the crowd was surprisingly unappealing. I will give the place some credit though, because our waitress was very accommodating and the manager did give us a complimentary bottle of champagne. But, the experience with the ear-deafening music, horrible food and unappealing crowd was so crippling that I would avoid this place like the plague!

My girls and I LOVED Nikki - we had no problems at all at the door, and when we sat down at the bar, the bartender was extremely nice and very helpful. The music was great, the crowd was hyped, and the staff was really nice. Would definitely go there again!

This place is ordinarily not my style - as in the bouncer seemed troublesome, inquiring in the typical front-man speak, "who's party are you here for?" and the patrons looked a tad wee bit pretentious...but I dared enter. I was w/ a girl, and told the bouncer we were meeting friends at the bar - surprisingly, no trouble at all. (1 PT). No trouble getting drinks either, at any point of the night. (2 PTs). DJ actually played a pretty decent set. (1 PT). But the ultimate bonus? The live Discovery Channel Event (1,000 PTs). There were just packs of cougars on the prowl everywhere. Not the common cougar, no sir - I'm talking hot, monied cougars fresh off the op table and starved for it. It was just thoroughly entertaining to watch this female species in action. My crew and I will be back again to document future sightings!!

Its unfortunate that every aspect of this place is over the top horrible. Do not waste your time, period. Lets start from the top down: Management is as arrogant as they come. I actually feel sorry for them, since they are basically just "yes" men/women who's strings are pulled by the owner. They have no business concept except what they have been groomed to think is correct; the "Nikki Beach" brand, which will not work in New York, because we can see whats real and what is blown smoke. I really wanted this place to be cool, but when you dont care about your customer and just care about hiring a sexy staff, well, I give it one year until doors permanantly close, heads roll, and all the white clothing is packed in a Dagastino shopping bag and moved back down to South Beach, where Nikki Beach is actually cool.

A poor rendition of Nikki Beach in South Beach, Miami. It's a shame the place has poor waitstaff, over-priced/watery drinks, an egotistical manager, and generally a sleazy crowd. Thursday nights are the best nights to dance on the runway, but, as the the other review said - by 2am the place empties out even more.... Don't wast your time and money.

I was there during all November. As a french guy, being alone i needed to discuss a lot to enter this site..Better to be known if u want to be sure...Try to come early around 10pm to enter the bar site...If you are pretty woman/women, no problem to enter.. Very busy around 11pm on Wednesday, and on Friday night...No cover charge, Corona is around 8 US Dollar which is quite expensive...Good looking women there are easy to approach and even to kiss, average age betzeen 26 to 38y old...Possible to dance on the main table...After 2am, crowd is leaving and it's almost time to go to bed....
