Union Mills Pediatric PC

Unlike previous posters, I have nothing but great things to say about union mill pediatrics. I've been taking my children there since my first was born, six years ago. They were extremely accomodating as far as appointments, and despite being late more than a few times, I've still kept my appointments (If I'm running a few minutes behind, I call the office and let them know). If I'm going to be more than 10 minutes late to an appointment, I reschedule so I don't disrupt everyone else's appointments.
My 3 children receive their care at union mill pediatrics and all the doctors are very knowledgeable. The doctors always take the time to sit and discuss any concerns. Every time I have an appointment, they ALWAYS call me the day before to remind me. It's helpful!
Unfortunately, many people clog up the appointments with repeat sick visits because they are paranoid, first time "older" parents that are unnecessarily worried...I've seen this again and again. Please remember to keep sick visits for those children that are really "sick". I'll continue to take my children to union mill pediatrics because they receive wonderful care by competent, caring pediatrians. They have no shortage of patients because of this.

Most doctors offices do not have the best of reputations. I challenge anyone to find a doctors office that is worse than Union Mill Pediatrics.

My daughter has been a patient for just over 2 years now, scheduling well checkups just about every 3 months. I went through hell scheduling ALL but 1 of the checkups. You cannot get anyone on the phone, must leave messages, and will not get a return phone call w/i their promised 48 hrs. Despite continued messages & the usual phone tag using only 1 of my 3 supplied contact #s, tomorrow will be 2 weeks w/o contact! 2 messages left for the office manager have gone unreturned. Blame it on the flu season, but this experience is consistent, quarterly, despite the season. God forbid I need them for an emergency.

The arrogance of the office manager spews "we have enough clients & can afford to lose 1 a day if need be". I believe this was the implication the last time I brought up this issue. The doctor's aren't so bad, but you have to question how intelligent they really are to have their staff, including their office manager, represent & be the face of their practice. I have continued to remain a client b/c I always forget the agony they put me through 3 months prior. I cannot & will not continue taking my daughter there when I historically have implored everyone w/ a child I come in contact w/ to steer clear.

Zero for customer service, zero for professionalism, zero for business, zero for a care in the world, but $30 for a photocopy of your child's records on your way out the door. Union Mill Pediatrics...shameful and downright deplorable.

The worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life. Not willing to accommodate the patient at all. My child came home from school (out of town) and they were unwilling to fit her into the schedule. Additionally, most of the doctors feel that it is their job to share their moral and family values on us. Since when is a pediatrician a clinical psychologist??

Terrible, terrible customer service. The staff at the front desk are not friendly and they are disorganized. There is a lack of communication between the front desk and the nurses because they tell you two different things. It takes them a long time to return phone calls. Keep your receipts because 8 out of the 12 times I went there, they tried to say I didn't pay my co-pay when I did in fact pay it.

I fully agree to the many comments here that this clinic's staff are mean and rude. When I brought the staff's attitude to the attention of their so called "Practice Manager" and Managing Doctor, I was instead accused of being one instead of looking into the behavior of their staff. I also agree this clinic charges more things as much as possible and would pressure you to return to their clinic even if it is unnecessary. I recommend not bringing your children to this clinic.

First off, the staff is definitely unprofessional. They chat and giggled out loud in the front. Karen (office manager) is definitely rude like others have mentioned. Instead of resolving issues in a nice way, she would try to turn us away. There was an incident where we called to cancel our appointment way ahead of time and a few months later, we got a bill for no show?!? Everything is money money to them. This will cost you this , this will cost you that. Unbelievable! As for the doctors, they acted as if it was the 'best' out of your child's interest, but is it really --. They get upset when you challenge them and then try to brush you off. They don't really spend time to listen to you. Definitely it felt like you're being rushed off w/o given a good reason for your questions/concerns.I am so glad to change to another pediatric place . Thank god!

I have seen both Dr. Alex Eisen and Dr. Wayne Ericsson and find them to be very responsive, compassionate and knowledgeable doctors. They truly listen to you when making a diagnosis. They care about the patient. All three of my sons developed healthy patient/doctor relationships and look forward to their appointments. Two of my sons suffer from ADD/ADHD and the office took their time interviewing me and observing my sons before medicating. The follow ups are helpful and comprehensive as well. From the parent perspective, I am very happy with this office and staff and have been a patient for several years.

I never wait long for the doctor, and if I do, I don't mind as the doctors NEVER make you feel rushed and truly take their time listening to you. Something most doctors in this area don't do. I would whole-heartedly recommend Union Mill Pediatrics.

Dr. Wayne is the only doctor my daughter trusts. We drive 20 miles one way just for her to go to this office. The exam rooms are nicely decorated and CLEAN! The lobby is fairly clean. There is a "sick" side and a "well" side, which I like!

We had problems before especially during their move where our records were lost. Staff in the past have been very rude. Including the nurses. However, we visited them this week for booster shots and it seems there has been some staff turnover. Hopefully for the better.

the doctor of this office is OK, but the staff??? OMG they are rude even the office manager.I got my son appointment for check up 2 months before, on that day my son is sick too; so they convert from well check up to sick visit to get more $ on copay. I was asking them why? they said that the way they do business
Later, I got my kid to have flu shot they said to my wife that the fee is $25 per shot. later they sent the bill charge to my insurance $55/shot. when I talked with them they said it including fee for paperwork, staff... and hundreds of stupid stuff. I told them that my wife talked to me only $25/shot, why now is $55. they said they did not tell my wife that price. I told them who do I trust (my wife or them), for sure I trust my wife. The way they talked like they are the only one doctor office in the world we can take our kid to to see the doctor.
I noted that they alway ask you to pay before doctor see your kid. Why???
Now, I have my kid go to diffrent doctor office to have much better care.

The office is not very accommodating and the office manager (Karen) is unprofessional, rude, and her customer service skills are not up to par. The front desk staff also needs a lesson in dealing with patients. The office overbooks their patients and your always left to wait between 20-45 mins. My child was refused to be seen due to a circumstance that was out of my control and when I complained about the lack of service, the office manager (Karen) justified their action of turning us away. This office came highly recommended but after my experience, I will never take my child there again nor will I ever recommend Union Mills Pediatric to anyone I know.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THIS OFFICE. First of all, the office manager (Karen) is very rude and unprofessional, and the receptionist put you on hole forever when you call in. Secondly, they billed you whatever AFTER your insurance already paid them, especially when you don't have to pay for the co-pay, they still charge you for it. When you asked them to verify with your insurance about your benefits as your insurance requested them to do so; they refused to do it at all. As for the doctors, I have to say that I like Dr. Eisen a lots since he's very good with my babies, however, if you see more than 3 doctors, then you have different opinions about your kids problems which can be very frustrated. The main reason I'm moving my kids because of the office manager named Karen which is very rude to us.

Our son's doctor Dr. Alex is absolutely great. However they seems to schedule way to many appointments for their capacity. Been taking my son for almost 2 years, everytime we went there we have to wait 15-20 minutes in the screening room before any doctor or nurse see us and yet one time when we were late 5 mintues, they refuse to see us. The staff told me that we are late more than 10 minutes, well of course cause I been standing there for 5 minutes and no one at the front desk. The worst part come about 2 month later, they send me a bill for $50 for no show-fee.

Outside of that issues, I cannot complaint more. Everytime our son is sick, they willing to take him in..even on Saturday. I guess that kind of caring and services come with hard core dicipline ' don't you dare to be late' time table for the patient which I would gladly obey.

We can't say enough about the wonderful care our children receive at Union Mill Pediatrics. All of the doctors are knowledgeable, caring, have an excellent bedside manner, and never rush you out the door to get to their next patient. You can always get in to see someone that day if you have a sick child. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Have been taking my son for about a year now, the doctors are great..The waiting time is bearable compared to other places.. My only problem is the appointment line for well-visits, we have to leave the message and it takes upto a week for them to return the call. Other than that, no problem for sick appontiments..They try to fit you in as soon as possible. And the advice nurses are wonderful too..
