There's a good possibility that when a therapist leaves PBD there was conflict with the owner of this business. As a former therapist, I would encourage people looking for a particular therapist who may have left PBD suddenly, to pursue your search in finding your favorite therapists. Most likely they are working at another facility; spa, chiro. office, or other clinic, or possibly has pursued self employment. Be aware, that most of them do want you to find them, but they were unable to get your last name and phone # before they left, because the departure was so immediate.
I'm a self employed massage therapist in the metro area and have been checking out the competition and came across your posts and as a bodyworker I would just like to say that MT's are people with personal lives of there own and you have no idea what her reasons for leaving her job were. It's inappropriate and invasive to try to "track down" a person. Would you track down your doctor? Would you track down your dentist? Find a new MT who wants to be found!

Does anyone know what happened to the therapist Karen? She left PBD at end of 2007 - I was just there 2 weeks ago and got a massage from her - nobody said anything about her leaving - and I was one of her regulars - it would be great to track her down - she does a wonderful job.
I've been going there for 10+ years and highly recommend them. Agree w/previous review in that your experience depends upon which therapist you get, that only stands to reason. Because of this, you note which therapist/s you like and schedule your subsequent appointments accordingly. You get the full hour, they don't schedule their therapists back to back like some places do. You can buy packages, where you get a break on the price. If you buy package of 12 they throw in a free massage.
I purchased a massage package for myself at Positive Body Dynamics and I don't think it was a good investment. The problem was I didn't find that the level of expertise of their therapists was consistent. So one time I would get a good massage and another time I would get a so-so massage. I had one massage that I would rate as not good at all because the therapist was so inexperienced. You can request a specific massage therapist, but it seemed like whenever I would request someone they wouldn't be working. I bought my husband a massage package at the same time that I bought mine and his experiences where similar to my experiences. I would recommend them on a time by time basis or if you know in advance that you are getting a good massage therapist.
