Napoleon Bank

I bank with the Napoleon Bank because they are the only major business left in Napoleon. I no longer live nearby but my family has used the bank for years, probably since it was founded in 1902. It is perhaps a sentimental attachment or a feeling of obligation to the bank and town.

They are rated a B, which is pretty good, on www.thestreet.com Banks and Thrifts Screener.

They offer Shazam debit/ATM cards but it does cost .50 to use them at an ATM and 1.00 for balance inquiries. The ATM should be a Shazam Preferred Status, which can be found at www.shazam.net, or you will be charged fees from the bank that owns the ATM. The best way to get cash it to get cash back at a store using the debit option.

The only BIG thing that Napoleon Bank is missing is a website and online banking. If they added online banking I'd give them 5 stars.

Napoleon Bank doesn't have high fees or charge for every little thing like some banks do. They are a hometown bank and support the Wellington-Napoleon school. They are locally operated and have the one location with everything done on site. The staff is friendly and knows almost everyone by name.
