Came by Kotobuki last night and was not disappointed. Beyond fresh and delicious. I am supposed to be coming back later this week with a friend and will send some pics and descriptions after that trip, but know that this place is one of DC's finest sushi joints!

Pros: FRESH!

Cons: Pricey

.

Went there last weekend and not only the food but the atmosphere was amazing. Will visit next time.

Music was at the right volume. Service was up to the expectations.

Pros: quality of food

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

.

You get what you pay for. I got so sick from eating here.

I should have known better that "cheap" and "sushi" is a combination for disaster.

diner beware

Kotobuki is one of my favorite sushi places because they have great prices--nigiri sushi is always only $1 per piece! The fancier kinds may be more expensive, but I can't remember... Anyway, the sushi itself isn't amazing, but it's still tasty and, for the price, it's awesome. The drawback is that the restaurant itself is pretty tiny (seats maybe around 20 people), and they don't take reservations, so expect to wait in a long line for a table if you go around dinner-time on a weekend! I think they offer carry-out as an option, though. Also, sometimes parking can be a pain, since it's in Georgetown.
