I was in Tuffy on 03/12/2010. There was a loud sound coming from the engine area. They diagnosed my car for having a bad alternator. I spent $180.00 to have an alternator put in. After they replaced the alternator, the sound was still there. I asked the manager, why the sound was still there. He walked out to the mechanic and the mechanic switched his diagnostic by saying its the A/C compressor that was bad. I asked them to put my old alternator back on, and to cut me a deal on the A/C compressor, since it was diagnosed, wrong. The manager Tim said, "What are you going to pay me, for the time I put into your alternator?"
My response was, "Are you serious? You diagnosed my car with the wrong problem, I spent $180.00 on an alternator, and your asking me to pay for YOUR MISTAKE!" He said, his time is $$. But he DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM WRONG!! I said, I want a discount for the A/C Compressor, he said he couldn't do that! I then raised my voice saying, "Is this how you treat your customers?" You guys make the wrong call, and I pay for it?" You have to be kidding me! He stormed off and asked me to leave. I couldn't believe it! I caught him in a B.S. diagnostic, and he became totally defensive, and refused to make up for their mistake, BEWARE!!! Don't say I didn't warn you. As a matter of fact, the place where I picked up the A/C compressor, later on said, they had a lawsuit with them for bad practice, customer service with wrongful diagnostic, NO JOKE!! If I only knew before hand! Again, ***BEWARE!!!!***
