Blacksburg Animal Clinic has been seeing my own poodles and various foster dogs since 2006 and boy oh boy does Doc Jones know his stuff!!! From his first glance and exam of a pup he knows just what is wrong and how to fix it- he is also an INCREDIBLE surgeon- I have had many, MANY rescue/foster dogs go through his office over the years with various ailments (heartworm, parvo, epilepsy, ear and allergy issues, sprained back, skin disorders, collapsing trachea, dentals, dew claw removal, ect) and all needing various surgical proceedures and/or a spay and neuter- Doc Jones is amazing with small incisions and very little (it any) pain or discomfort for the animal. I have found his practice to be an incredible value and his employees are all outstanding, knowledgable, compassionate and very loving towards their customers. I highly recommend this practice.

WOW :)

I haven't even been to see Dr. Jones yet, but have a dog with suspected canine mammary cancer. I called Dr. Jones, because our experience with a female vet at Riner Animal Hospital was tearfully disappointing. She was rude, told us if we were going to push her to give cost estimates for treatment, then we would be charged the special fee of $1,000 period, no discussion, end of story. Prior to that, it was $300 to $900, she was to work up an estimate. She was callous, rude and I wouldn't "take my dog" to her if she treats grieving families this way. What a shame. Don't waste your time or money going to Riner Animal Hospital, unless you enjoy inflated pricing and being treated with rudeness and disrespect.

I was told Dr. Jones and his staff were some of the most compassionate, caring and knowledgeable professionals in the area. That they treated the family with respect and concern and were honest and conscientious about appropriate treatments and forthright with pricing, which unfortunately, is a consideration.

I am hopeful in taking Layla to Dr. Jones, having already spoken with one of his employees on the phone, I feel at ease, comfortable and all of my questions that could be answered in advance of the appointment, were answered clearly and without hesitation.

My colleagues have had nothing but great things to say about this Dr. and his practice. I can tell already, no matter the long term outcome for our much loved pet, we have found the right people to walk us through this challenge.

Our 4-1/2 year old Golden Retriever, Chloe, has had an upset stomach for close to a week. I was told by Dr. Casey Jones' Staff to bring her in rather quickly. I did and Dr. Jones could tell just by looking at her, that she was safe. He prescribed Chloe 4 Cerenia Tablets(Motion Sickness for Dogs) that prevent acute vomiting in Dogs. Dr. Jones then told me to prepare Chloe some scrambled eggs with Pam Cooking Spray two hours after her first dose. She ate the eggs, but was still feeling sick. She was somewhat lethargic the rest of the day, but did not vomit any of the eggs. I was told the next day to administer Chloe's final dose of medicine, and two hours later fix her some Rice and Chicken. She ate it slow, but sped up eating it all a few minutes later. Just an hour or so later, I went to the kitchen to fix me a Peanut Butter Sandwich. While i was enjoying my sandwich, Chloe approached the kitchen, wanting some Peanut Butter. I joyfully gave her some, and I knew that my Chloe was as good as new. I told Dr. Jones staff, that she seemed much better, but no stool yet, and they told me that this was normal, and to feed her more Rice and Chicken this evening. By the time that 'this evening' rolled around, Chloe was feeling much, much better. When I finally fed her her dinner time Rice and Chicken, Chloe gobbled it down and wanted more. I gave her an empty Peanut Butter Jar, like I always do, and she carried it around the house joyfully. I knew within just 24 hours of my visit to Dr. Casey Jones' Blacksburg Animal Clinic office, that Chloe was back to her old self again. Dr. Casey Jones told me on my visit, that he does not like to run up big vet bills for people, at first, until he knows that there is a real problem. He could tell that Chloe was just a little ill, and that the Cerenia would do the job for her. I highly recommend him for all of your pet health needs.

Blacksburg Animal Clinic truly gives you a great feeling when you take your pet there--I have been taking my tabby cat there for a few years and couldn't be happier. The vets are knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. The kennel is relatively cheap as well. Overall, a great experience.

This clinic nearly killed out cat through cynicism and uncaring treatment. In fairness, dr. Jones did not see out cat, it was a young doctor on staff. Our cat became very, very sick after a move, we rushed him to Town and Country, they
