Well, as we made our way to a table the noise of the crowd was very annoying, come to see that everyone around us were local friends of the bartender, yelling right around us the whole time. We did not realize we were going to a local

We were surprised to get last minute reservations for an Easter Brunch. Now we know why, the cook should be fired for serving that abomination of food. I say cook, because no chef with any type of training would have served that pile of

Blackwoods is great. The view is the most amazing being able to look over the lake. I like to stop there everytime I'm in Duluth... good place for families too!

We frequent the three Blackwood's Resturants in the area and normally they are pretty good. The food is good, but high priced....

This past week we had nothing short of a terrible experience. We had a server who was training, and her trainer (a seasoned waiter) and they could not have been any worse.

The seasoned waiter was obviously not paying much attention to the training waitress... as the drinks took 20+ minutes (as we saw other waiters taking drink orders and coming out with them in the meantime we waited, and waited). The drink I had was pretty terrible, but I am not much of a complainer so I just set it aside. It was a margarita, and tasted like a watered down slushie was salt.....

We ordered two appetizers (seared tuna, which is raw fish and walleye bits) they took a total of 40 minutes to come out from the time we ordered them. Again, other waiters and waitresses in our area were taking orders and returning with food for other tables, so it was not the kitchen running behind.

We ordered entrees and waited over an hour from the time we ordered them to get served. We could tell the food had been sitting under the lamps for some time as the pickles with the burgers were shriveled up and warm, and the buns were dried out on the top.

They recently have been trying to make their food "look" more high end, but in all reality the portions are getting smaller, the quality is staying the same, and the prices are going up.....

Pros: Normally good food

Cons: Awful service, cant mix drinks to save their resturant, high prices for average quality
