I can't recommend this site (it's the only Gymboree I've been to) for two main reasons:

(1) it's fun for the kids and probably more useful in the winter time, but it's a lot of money for what it is-- a playground would do all this and more (and many playgrounds, like the one near the Ellicott City Target [by the park 'n ride center] have soft padding on the ground to make the tumbling less rough)

(2) the typical attendees here (likely b/c of the price) tend to be upper-middle-class Special People with Precious Children (with names like Caden and Madison and the like-- you get the idea); if this is your thing, then the $$ is not likely an issue and you'll probably love the place, but if you're not of that milieu, you and your kid(s) won't likely fit in well here-- and the other parents will evince that (you can take a free class and check it out for yourself, which is what we did; that is a nice option since the classes themselves are pricey and I'd have been really upset if I'd prepaid to spend 4-6 weeks here)

In all, the staff is fine and the activities are fun but it's not much more than you'd get for free at a library story time or a playground. And I personally find the library parents to be, for the most part, much more relaxed, welcoming, and diverse.

I've just enrolled my second child in the level 5 Gymboree class. As a former veteran of the level 6 Gymboree class, I really like how the imaginative play is just right for the age group of the class. Turning hoops into birds nests, balls into eggs, bean bag disks into letters to mail, all wonderful ways of turning simple objects into new tools to use for play within the theme of the day.
I've felt that the space could be less awkward but, liked that I was able to let my girls run to the next climbing object without losing site of them. Looking forward to the new space and the new location later this month.
I've found the staff to be friendly and the environment clean and well kept up.
The name tags are a great, the teachers make sure to call every child by name during play time and after.
The price is worth the experience and I've always found a good deal when we've enrolled.
I've already recommended them to other parents!

I enjoyed the fun classes Gymboree had to offer for kids and I liked how the class was age grouped but I noticed other children were not having that much fun, I noticed the kids enjoyed the free time play they offer.
Overall, the people working there are very friendly, the area is clean but air in their could be more circualted, it is really stuffy and smells sometimes due to no open windows.
The staff and teachers there tend to play music really loudly, I found it to give me a headache and my son as well. Children have much better hearing then adults no need to blast the play music.
Overall I would not bother signing up again unless I had a very young baby and didn't know other parents.
The price is to high for what it is.

PROS: Clean, friendly staff, fun
CONS: To expensive, no good special deals for members, to noisy
