I checked the prices on the internet, also called for prices and was told the same prices. I reserved (2) rooms- one was for king size bed without a balcony , when we got there we were charged for a room with a balcony--which we didn't get. We had to call the front desk because the comode was backing up. The manager or owner came with the maintence man, when they finished they gave me the impression that it was our fault. They stood there looking at us talking to each other knowing that we couldn't understand what they were saying.(by the way what has happened to the good old american language? Don't any americans own or operate the motels anymore?) We won't be going back there again.

Ratings_icons Deceptive Room Pricing

Anonymous

River Bend Inn's Web site looks very inviting. However, when you call to reserve a room
you are met by rude employes and deceptive room pricing. The room rates listed on the web site
are for imaginary people. As we were told each night is much more than what is listed. When asked why - I was
given a different reason each time I questioned it. I was told that "no more rooms with queen beds and no balconies were available" so I would have to take
a room that has a balcony, which is more. I said "okay", however, re-asked the questions and was told that" well the closer in time you get, the higher the rate"?
This does not make sense. Closer to what? Then I was told that "the more rooms they fill the higher their price goes"? Go figure. Anyway I took my business else where.
With such deceptive 'bate and switch tactics'. Why risk getting there and having some large charge put on your credit card.
Come on be honest people, stay true to what you post on your web site and advertise,or update the information. What else would they be dishonest about? We did not want to find out!
