Yes, I have experience with Shakti and it is not a really good one though all the stylists were quite nice. But being nice does not mean being professional or good. I have lived in Europe and other cities in US, and never have I come across a salon with such an attitude and I always wonder why. Nothing is special or exceptional. They should do some benchmarking, because something is just not going right there. It starts with the receptionists, they are unfriendly and arrogant - sorry, if they do not like their job they shouldn't do it in the first place. Actually, I went there three times and each time I had to go back because I had to get color correction - and now I decided, enough is enough. The cut and color/highlights are always from mediocre to unacceptable. I am looking for another salon.

They are really rude and make me feel uncomfortable. I need to find a salon that does a good job and arent rude. I go there and I just feel so uncomfortable I want to run out of the chair with the dye in my hair. Does anyone know of a salon where they do a great job and arent jerks? Oh ya And I have to agree on that other persons review they do talk about the clients I heard them while I was in the chair. I spent almlost 300 bucks there with color,cut ,shampoo and I got treated Like a piece of crap. They are really snobby. I will not spend my money there again.

I took my son who wanted a new style and wow chaena lewis did that it looked awesome the staff was excellent treated me like i was there forever and it was my first time there I will go back monthly because of how nice they were the receptionist was great no problems at all very nice and professional

I love it. my best friends mom owns it. best hair cutters i know. patti and shana are amazing. and everyone else there is friendly and awesome! nothing is terrible there!

Every time I go to Shakti they give me attitude. The receptionist is horribly mean and the stylist are just as bad. They are waaay over priced and the experience is dreadful. Horrible customer service and terrible coloring, Not to mention when you ask for a trim, they layer your whole entire head. AND they talk about every client that comes and goes.

I used to go to Shakti every month because they were supposed to be the best in the valley. I always thought that the receptionists were pretty snobby (excluding one that no longer works there). Well I stopped going there when they pretty obviously talked about me while I was there, and then had the nerve to talk about me to my husband while I was standing in front of them (they had no idea who I was standing in front of them). When I confronted them they still gave me attitude!!! UGH! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! All of the best stylists have sinced moved to Euphrazya Salon in Wyoming. Don't be a fool. Go to Euphrazya.

P.S. The receptionist that was nice now works at Euphrazya as well.

I went to this salon ,because of the hype of the area only to be let down and felt like I was a annoyance instead of a paying customer....receptionists at the desk are very cold and untouchable ..acted like I was bothering them instead of paying them for overpriced services and snobby attitudes ..I have gotten better service at the beauty school in Wilkes Barre....<my stylist and colorist were very sweet>

I've been going to Shakti for years. They have a reputation for being a well high class salon. Very expensive, and very unfriendly receptionists. I've been going because of the fancy reputation but now I have realized, that I have wasted so much money for having almost nothing done to my hair. I come out looking exactly the same every time. The only thing that has changed was the amount in my account.

If you are looking for the best facial Wyoming Valley has to offer, Shakti matches that need. Ted is a master, with the training needed to match your skin's needs to the proper blend of moisturizers and treatments. This facility does not disappoint. Prices for this outstanding service are average.

I decided to go to this salon because I really liked someones hair that goes there. They have their hair colored by Margie. I was nervous to switch salons because I have had several bad experiences with color. I have to say that Margie did an excellent job, as others have posted on the internet. She is also very friendly and personable. Sammy cut my hair and was also nice . Just wanted to give this feedback for those considering going here.I would highly recommend it and I must say I am picky.

Has a day spa environment with very plesent stylists. Haircuts are expensive and nothing special. My current hair stylist is cheaper and does a much better job with my hair. Receptionists are busy and not very friendly. They seem very snobish. Hair products are priced high. They also offer many other services like mails, massages, etc.

PROS: Nice environment, friendly stylists
CONS: Expensive.

Shakti is a hair salon located in Kingston. I have mixed reviews of this place. I have never actually gotten my hair done here, but a few people I know have. Some people's hair comes out looking great, while others, like a relative of mine, doesnt even look like anything was even done to it. And the one time it even had a green tint to it after she got highlights put in. She basically wasted $90, but she still goes back.
