I have visited this Nature Center twice with young children and loved it each time. The paths are scenic and easy for walking with little ones and/or a stroller. The animal exhibits are attractive and particularly easy for young children to see. The Dino Pit is fabulous! We spent hours here digging up "bones" in the sand.

This place is great to visit. My children have always enjoyed coming to visit to see the different exhibits. They have taken many field trips here with their classes from school, so it must be a popular place for a reason. The exhibits change often so there's always something new to see. Part of the museum is outdoors so it can get hot for the little ones during the summer. The facility seemed very clean and organized.
PROS: Fun to visit

Great place for learning and the children are sure to have tons of fun. This place is great for your nature fanatic. Parking is within walking distance and the facility is well taken care of. The staff (volunteers possibly) are very friendly and knowledgeable. This wouldn't be a great place to visit if it is raining because a lot of it is outside.
PROS: Great for Nature fanatics

If you looking for a place to introduce smaller children to Nature and Science this is a great place to start. They have a small museum and an outdoor trail with some rescued animals. They host a lot of programs including wildlife, caving, astronomy and endangered species You can see everything in a couple of hours. Its a great place to experience nature with your children, more centered toward small children (ages 2 -5). Admission is free.
