My husband and I have lived here since August of 08. Things have been okay up until recently. We wanted to move out in August of this year because I graduate and we want to move away, and we thought we had signed a lease that reflected that timeline. I'm still nearly 100% that we did, although the office says that they don't have such a lease. We tried to explain the situation to them, but they are forcing us to stay sign a six-month extension, which means staying here two months after I graduate. Because we were planning to move FAR away from Houston, I will be unable to work for two months. We tried to speak to the manager, but she always seemed to be 'out', even on the day we made an appt with her.

We also had a mouse situation a few months ago, and the maintenance guy ended up letting the mouse go in our apartment and then just LEFT. The mouse left droppings around our apartment for two weeks before we were able to catch it. The office didn't offer to help buy traps or really help in any way.

Western Ridge has been pretty okay for most things, but obviously keeping us locked here for two extra months is a pretty awful thing to do. The parking is extremely crappy (people just park their cars and don't use them, so you lose those available spots). The only way to guarantee a place to park is by purchasing a covered spot for an extra $10 a month. You can hear noise very well through the wall. I feel like the apartment above us is full of elephants, and the people to the side of us have a baby. Yep, we get to hear it cry all the time.

The grounds are nice, I suppose.

Lights in the breezeway aren't turned on until well after dark, very unsafe. And now we found mold in the walls! It's probably also in the neighbor's walls since they share the wall the mold is in, and who knows how many other apartments have it too.

The one good thing about the office is Jeff. He's pretty awesome, but he doesn't really have much authority. The management is plain awful.

I lived in Western Ridge for 2 years. Excellent facilities, large floorplans, beautiful pool area with barbeque and covered parking. Best of all, attached garages are standard for 2 bedrooms and above. Yes, attached. Where else can you find attached garages in the Westchase area? Management is good, and williing to work with you if you sign up for longer leases.
