Shofner Eye Care Center
My husband had lasik surgery last year at the Schofner Eye Care Center. My husband is very pleased with his results and felt he received decent care at this facility; however, I was not very comfortable with their practices. Upon arriving the day of his surgery he was ushered to a room with about 9 other people. He was given a number and told to attach it to his shirt upside down so they could identify him while lying down. Okay. If I am going to let someone operate on my eyes, I would rather not be a number on an assembly line! I tried to talk my husband into leaving, but he didn't. We were there for nearly five hours as they went down the line doing one surgery after another. Luckily, my husband was fine. However, when it came time for me to have my lasik surgery, I chose a private doctor who didn't throw me into a group and who actually knew me by name!
