I love the Margaret McAllister clinic at the Arizona Humane Society on Dobbins Rd. The facility offers low cost vaccinations, and while it is often very busy, the price is worth it. This clinic is not for sick pets, only for those that are healthy. They will do every vaccination you need for the year and rabies boosters, as well. They also do the blood testing for heartworm, lyme disease, leukemia, etc. and sell the Heartgard Plus at a very good price. If your dog or cat is sick, though, go to a regular veterinarian, preferably one that does blood and urine tests all right there, instead of sending it out to a lab, which is time consuming and the pricing is the same either way.

This is a great place to go if you have trouble affording vet visits and shots for your animals but a lot of people who can afford it abuse it and make poor people not want to go. The place is overall clean and the staff is friendly but you never go in with your dog and here little more from the assistans than NEXT! There are always a TON of animals there and HUGE line even if you show up early, but if you have the time or don't have the money, it's completely worth it in my opinion.

This building is part of a beautiful new Arizona Humane Society adoption center. The clinic is at the far west end of the building. They have vaccination clinics on specific days or you can schedule an appointment. I've only gone once, it was quite a drive. The waiting room was full of barking dogs and petrified cats (I had a little kitten). The wait wasn't too long, but I was surprised that an assistant comes out to take your pet back and you stay in the waiting room. They bring your pet back after seeing a vet and getting the shots/checkup. I'm not sure how thorough it is, but if you have a tight budget or a lot of animals, it's better than nothing. I think overall I still prefer visiting a local veterinarian.

PROS: low cost vaccinations for your pet
CONS: far away location, noisy waiting room, owners won't see the vet
