I would run very fast from Becker Furniture World if you are thinking of purchasing there. They are horrible. I ordered several pieces of furniture in January 2013 and it is March now and I have received more headaches than furniture.

When my first delivery came several pieces were missing (end table but no coffee table, chairs and no table). And the expensive dining room table literally fell apart when they were putting it together and 90% of the dining room chairs were wobbly. When we asked why they didn't check these first before delivery they said they didn't have a place to do that. They wanted us to keep the defective pieces so a service person could come and fix them. We refused and had to call twice to get our money appropriately refunded for the dining room pieces.

Then in mid February, 6 weeks after we ordered, we were informed that the chairs for the kitchen set we had ordered were discontinued and they wanted to know if we wanted the table without the chairs. We again asked for refund on these pieces and had to call three times to get our refund.

Then toward the end of February we were informed the couch, chairs and ottomans we custom ordered January 4th, could not be made because the fabric had been discontinued. Our choice was to cancel the order or come in and pick out new fabric. We canceled and as of today are still trying to get our money refunded.

We still have 2 pieces left to receive that we paid for January 4th but have not gotten a firm delivery date on yet. Last we heard it was suppose to be the end of March. Both of these were suppose to be stock pieces and delivered back in January. Only reason we have not cancelled these is that they go with pieces we already have.

So far no apologies, not even return phone calls from the store manager. Find it very odd that Becker Furniture World can stay in business when they hold onto money and orders for weeks before placing them. We will never shop with them again. Here it is March when all our items were to be in and we literally have to start all over. Not with Becker Furniture World though, never again! When people see our bare rooms in our house we tell the our horrible service experience with Becker Furniture World.

I have to say the other reviews put a fright into me. My husband & I were looking to buy a few beds. The delivery time was less than one week for the 1st 2 beds to be delivered to our 1st destination. One of the frames was missing a foot piece so we asked the delivery men about this. They said it was normal to not have this part. We thought that to be strange so we just left it alone. Turns out by the time we got home (3 days later) the missing piece had been sent to us by mail. We never even had to make a complaint to the store. We are VERY happy with Becker Furniture World.

Let me very clear...BFW will take your money and run. We ordered a dining set with the selling point " its made right here in the USA",in Nov 2010 agreeing to the 4-6 week delivery date and we paid 1/2 of the invoice in cash. We heard nothing so in Feb I called to enquire about the order, at first they claimed never to have heard of me (a surefire red flag) eventually they located the order and I was told to await the sales rep to call me back. Two days later she called and said we would have to wait until early March as the item was coming from abroad.(which part of the USA is abroad exactly??) So either its made in the USA or its coming from abroad but either way they lie to the customer. Since its now the third week of March, that's 5 MONTHS since ordering, I again called. Today I am told I will have to wait until next month , making 6 months wait time. My concern over the fact that BFW has failed to communicate with me and when I have called I have been messed around and blatantly lied to was met with them informing me they refuse to give me my money back and cancel the order.
If the situation were reversed and I had furniture from BFW and had failed to make a single payment in 6 mths would they be so patient?? I think not. And yet they really do expect me to just keep waiting month after month whilst they have my money. I don't doubt for one minute that if I were foolish enough to wait till April they will again fail to contact me and when I call them I will be told it is coming from some alternate universe and thus I must wait another month or so.And so on and so...
So if you go the BFW while you wander around imagining what your home would like with that piece of furniture also be very sure to imagine what your bank account will look like minus the money and how your room will still be void 6 mths later. My patience just ran out with this store, luckily I have a great attorney.

A very big place to shop. THey have lots to look at. And if you make your way there on a weekend, there is a child care center that was nice to have, but, my advice, Hire a sitter, no-one likes to have childred at a big furniture store getting bored and running around and breaking things.

Becker's quality of furniture is horrible and so are their return policies, sent me 2 broken tables but said that because it was a special order I could not even exchange them for a different model...each broken table took 8 weeks to get to my house...special order, 3.5 months and a thousand dollars later i'm still eating on a broken table and dealing with horrible customer service

I would never recommend Becker Furniture World to anyone. Their store may be huge and have a lot of styles, but after you make your purchase decision, and they have your money, they treat you as an invoice number.

We ordered a leather furniture set from Becker a couple months ago, during their "50% OFF EVERYTHING SALE!!!" We were told that the furniture would take 5 months to arrive from Italy. That means, we won't be receiving the sofas until October 2009.

During this time, not only have we found the same furniture set from Slumberland, they have it IN STOCK, and it's cheaper.

I called and asked to cancel the furniture because we haven't received it yet, they said no because it's custom order. I said, but I haven't received the furniture yet. They said, it's in production. If it's in production and I cannot cancel it, then why am I still waiting until the end of October to get it?

I asked what their restocking fee is or what kind of satisfaction guarantee they have on their product. Restocking fee = 33% or $1000 as we paid. Satisfaction Guarantee = none.

Unbelievable. I asked them what they would sell those sofas for if I did take the $1000 loss. She didn't respond, but I have a feeling it is full price. Now I know they are not going to have a hard time selling the couches, after all, someone who wants them and won't have to wait the 5 months will be thrilled. I, however, am not impressed.

I am completely unhappy with my experience and the customer service team who shrugged me off. I will absolutely never step foot in their store again. This is my first house, and it needs a lot of furniture, but I will shop elsewhere. Friends, family and everyone reading this, stay clear of the store, don't let their 50% off sales sell you!

I will never shop at Becker again. They have become too big to handle themselves. A company that cannot guarantee satisfaction of their product, is not a company that should be in business.

You have got to see this place to believe it. The place is huge ... and we had a blast shopping. The selection was great and we found the perfect dining room table and chairs. We had been to several stores, but next time we shop for furniture, we won't waste our time. We will come directly to Becker.

From the moment we stepped in the door of the store we were treated wonderfully. The receptionist, the sales people, even the delivery drivers treated us great. We had a small issue with one chair. They fixed our issue quickly and made sure we were satisfied.

I recommend this place!
