Fabulous! amazing! We came in unsure about buying and just thought we would window shop for a day or two before making any purchase. Rebecca changed all. that!! I don't know if they pay her millions but she acts like it. She loves her job and it shows. She treated us like we were there to spend millions!! She was.so patient and really listened. She gave us great advice on how to get something beautiful that I will truly want to wear forever. Even when she was interrupted or was filling out the papers she was still focused on us, she truly made the experience unlike anything we have seen in the customer service industry in awhile! We left there under budget, over what we expected to get for the price, and happier then words can express! lovely place! A+++ service I can't wait to go back for my earrings next!

Fashionable Rings available at this place that was really nice and simple. They have tons of beads here so you can make your own jewelry. So many stationary things are available with a reasonable price and funky things are also available.

I would give Jewelry Exchange 0 stars if I could.

My fiance bought me a beautiful ring from Jewelry Exchange; however, 3 months later diamonds started falling out. When I brought the ring in to the store I was told that almost all of the diamonds were loose. They assured me that the settings would be reinforced and I should not experience any more problems. However, within 11 months I ended up losing a total of 3 diamonds. Each time I brought the ring in I was told that all of the settings were reinforced and that I shouldn't have any more problems. After the 2nd diamond fell out I asked a sales associate if my ring was losing diamonds because the setting was more delicate than other settings. After looking at my ring, she told me that my ring is NOT delicate and that does not explain why diamonds are falling out.

After the 3rd diamond fell out I was furious. I brought my ring in to the store the next day and had the unfortunate experience of working with May, a manager. I demanded that my fianc receive a refund or at the very least, a warranty extension, since my warranty was almost over. May refused both requests without any hesitation and dealt with me in a very uncaring and unsympathetic manner. She made me feel as if she didn't care about my situation and was very flippant. She eventually agreed to send my ring to corporate so that they could determine if the setting was defective.

Corporate had my ring for 4 weeks and determined that nothing was wrong. When I picked up my ring I had another terrible experience when I met the Asst Manager, Niko. When I asked him what corporate did to my ring he told me that it was completely re-tipped and that I should not have any more problems, then he told me that I should wait for a 4th diamond to fall out, and then he told me that he didn't know what they did and I would need to come back and talk to Kathy, another manager. Niko's demeanor was rude and unsympathetic and he made me feel as if I was wasting his time. He clearly just wanted me to leave the store. After dealing with him I truly felt that no one at that store cared about my ordeal.

When I met with Kathy to find out what was done, I found out that the reason diamonds were falling out was because my ring is a micro pave setting which is highly delicate (keep in mind I asked this EXACT question the 2nd time a diamond fell out). My ring NEVER should have gone to corporate because someone should have recognized this when the 1st diamond fell out. I also need to add that my fiance was never told that micro pave settings were delicate and not meant to be worn every day when he bought my ring. For these reasons, Kathy offered to exchange my ring for a new one.

When my fiance and I went to exchange my ring I was HIGHLY emotional. When I met with Kathy I told her about how awful my experience was and I told her about the way Niko treated me. Kathy walked away and the next thing I knew, Niko was approaching me and shouting, "Hey! You got a problem with me??" He got in my face and demanded to know what he did wrong. He began yelling at me and when my fiance demanded that he walk away he refused. I felt completely attacked. My fiance continued to tell him to back off and Niko proceeded to suggest that my fiance was threatening him. At that point I completely lost it and burst into tears. I felt so humiliated that I had to leave the store. Niko walked away when I started crying and did not apologize. Due to this experience, I decided to forego the exchange and keep my original ring because I never want to walk in to that store again or deal with any of their rude and incompetent employees. I also need to mention that the next Monday, Kathy called me and told me that my fiance was rude to her. Considering he spent thousands of dollars on a ring that was falling apart I think he has every right to be rude to her and the rest of her employees.

You may save money buying a ring at Jewelry Exchange; however, nothing compares to the customer service that you will get at a reputable jeweler. If you still decide to buy a ring at Jewelry Exchange then I highly recommend that you educate yourself on the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of settings because you are not going to get any help from that store.

I visited this location a few weeks ago and it was the worst shopping experice I've ever had. My fiance and I went into the store and was greeted by a woman who asked us what we were looking for and how much money we had to spend. I thought that was inappropriate to ask off the bat how much we wanted to spend. There was NO selection and when we showed her my engagement ring she said that anything would work with it. This is not true because of the setting. She then called over her manager who said that nothing in there store would work with our ring. We asked about another case we saw and was told that it was the "manager's case". When I asked what was in it I was told that items in there were more expensive and better quality but was not offered to take a look. I walked over anyways and was bombarded by yet another salesman. We were ready to custom make a platinum ring or buy one if we saw one we liked. We walked out of the store upset and disappointed.

I bought a pair of diamond earrings and an ankle bracelet. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and kept me in my budget without sacrificing quality. I had shopped at other jewelry stores before going to Jewelry Exchange and found that their prices and quality could not be beat! Had a positive experience and will refer my family and friends.

I had previously had a pair of diamond earrings purchased from here that were beautiful, so I thought why not go back there in May 2010 to have my engagement ring sized. I took it there because they do the work right on the spot. Unfortunately because of the diamonds on the band, they couldn't re-size it...Next option? Have it re-set. I pick out a very pretty and well priced channel set setting. They pulled the center stone out of my ring while I was still there so I could inspect it, (everything was fine) and sent me home with the original setting, sans the diamond. I was told it would be ready the next day.

I went back the next day to pick it up and it looked good. Maybe I was a little too excited to have it back, but I didn't notice until I got home that it was set more like a princess cut...which it's not. It's a cushion cut. Ok, so I was a little disappointed...I didn't necessarily want a "princess cut", but it still looks nice. I think I can deal with it. I also started to notice that one of the prongs didn't lay flat on the stone and it kept snagging things.

So a few months pass and I go back to get a wedding band because I had a gift card. I happened to mention to the sales lady that the setting on my engagement band wasn't exactly what I was expecting--that one of the prongs kept snagging clothes and if you run your finger over it, you could feel that it isn't flush to the stone like the others. She basically told me there wasn't anything she could do about it and to deal with it. I should have known something was up.

So I was just at another local jeweler and he asked if I wanted my ring cleaned, which of course I did! He pulled out his loop to look at it and informed me that the center stone was chipped. Weird...when I looked at it before I had it re-set there wasn't anything wrong with it. He pointed out that the chip was caused by having it re-set, and it is in fact, in the same spot where the prong doesn't lay flat. He also informed me that this isn't a chip that would happen from bumping it, and said again, it happened when it was re-set. He also told me that in order to get rid of the chip, the ring would need to be re-cut--taking it from a 9 point to a 8 point (if they could even do that)--de-valuing it tremendously.

When I left that jeweler, I immediately called Jewelry Exchange. I spoke with Jean who informed me that since I had it re-set "some time ago" (the last time I checked, 7.5 months really isn't "some time ago"), there wasn't anything they could do about it, the chip wasn't their fault, and the jeweler is supposed to tell them if something happens when they are working on jewelry. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. I let Jean know that if we aren't able to get this resolved (especially since the stone is now de-valued), I would be contacting an attorney, and she told me to call back tomorrow and speak with Cathy the manager. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but for now I think everyone should stay away from that place. I wish I would have checked their BBB rating before going there...F+. Definitely not good.

I had a perfect experience with the Jewelry Exchange of Villa Park, IL. Not only was Emily, the employee that assisted myself, helpful but their website gave all of the information I could have asked for! The store is beautifully presentable and the service was, as I said, top notch. I will definitely be returning for all of my jewelry needs in the future. Thanks again Emily!

I was extremely happy with my Jewelry Exchange experience. On the advice of some friends and my girlfriend??s mother who was in the jewelry business for years, my girlfriend and I made a trip to the jewelry exchange to look at engagement rings. Before going, we did our homework on diamond grading, and we were off. We met with Nikko who was a pleasure to deal with. He helped us find a ring that was below our budget that is absolutely stunning! We had the ring appraised today, and it appraised for $2,000 over and above what we paid for the ring, tax included! Unlike some of the big chain stores that position lights above their cases to trick customers into believing they are looking at colorless diamonds (while in all reality they are looking at a low quality stones), Nikko encouraged us to look at the color characteristics of the diamond we were purchasing under normal light conditions. This is a sign of a reputable jeweler. I would highly recommend the Jewelry Exchange based on their excellent customer service, quality, and price. I am a happy customer, and I would definitely do business with this jeweler in the future.

I went in to look for a ring for my girlfriend, not knowing anything about jewelry. The staff was very helpful and made it easy to find the perfect ring for her. I was in and out in about an hour and the ring was ready the next day. I received a great deal and best of all she said yes. I couldn't have picked a better place to find the ring for the girl i will spend the rest of my life with.

Somehow I lost my 35 year old diamond in my wedding ring. I came in they helped me find a replacement. They put in a new setting, cleaned and polished both my ring and my husband's at a reasonable price. The loss of my diamond was painful but they helped make it less so with their efficient and courteous service.

I've been using J/E for years... Always get great service, the selection is better then any 5 other stores to find the Diamond I wanted for my Wife's Engagement Ring. Not as liberal as some for exchanges. But, know what you're looking for before going and do some research. For some things they're Great! For others... like any where else know one does everything great. Again, do your research! Very nice, helpful people! If you're looking for Diamonds I've yet to find any place to compare... unless you know someone at the Diamond markets downtown that may be able to get a similar quality stone for a comparable price.

I was very happy with the service! My husband bought a 3 stone past, present and future ring and it is stunning! I brought it back the same day because it was not the right size, as my husband had bought the one from the case. I told the salesperson that I wanted to have it for later on that evening as we were going to a party. They had it ready and looking beautiful! I even told my future son-in-law about this store and he went and got both the engagement and wedding ring for my daughter, and the service was superb! We are very happy with the store, the service and the quality!!

I went to the jewelry exchange to buy my engagement ring. After looking at several story, i finally found a place i felt comfortable in. They were helpful and personable. We were looking to spend around $8,000 total and the sales person actually undersold me. I could not be happier. For those who have had bad experiences, it is likely that you are difficult and that you know nothing about jewelery. Ignorant people are great to watch!! I recommend checking it out. I will always be loyal customer.

Bought an engagement ring at jewelry exchange in Villa Park and left it to have it sized. Went to pick it up the next day and was given completely different ring with inferior diamonds. When I told them that's not the ring I paid for was told that is the ring I chose. This is theft, made big mistake bying there and will never go there again.

I was shopping for a present for my wife and saw the ads on tv. Went in and was greeted as soon as I walked in. The person I worked with ( wish I could remember the name) was so helpful. I was on a tight budget and didn t have alot of money but you would have thought that I was spending thousands of dollars the way I was treated, I ended up with a great necklace for the price I could afford. I am going to tell everyone I know that this is the place to go for great service and prices.

I went to the Jewelry Exchange last weekend and was helped by one of the nicest & most helpful employees EVER (Shadi)! I'm getting married in October & was very indecisive about what I wanted to get. Shadi stayed with me and never lost his patience or concentration. If ever there was a question he would get the answer right away and made sure I was happy. I couldn't believe how thorough and unbelievably helpful this employee was!!! I brought my fiance back into the store a couple of days later to be sized for the ring & was met with smiling faces and warm hellos. I walked out feeling very satisfied with my experience and purchase.

I actually was in a very well-known jewelry store one time and the sales lady actually talked down about my fiance she didn't even know because we'd been together a long time & still weren't engaged. I couldn't believe the treatment & the nerve of this employee! That experience really scared me away from all of the jewelry stores because that's the last thing I need to deal with! And even though I look very young, I was treated with the utmost respect. I wanted to make sure the gentleman that assisted me gets the recognition he definitely deserves! If more places had employees like him shopping would be a much more enjoyable and much less stressful time! Thanks for all of your patience and help Shadi!!

I can't say enough about the time and effort the salesperson (Kathy) spent with me in picking out a ring over Christmas. It was a few days before Christmas and I was looking for something special and unique for a gift. I had been to several other more well known stores in Chicago, when a friend suggested the Jewelry Exchange. I was amazed at how Kathy treated me like I was the only customer in the store, even though it was jammed with other people. She wanted to make sure that I was really happy with my purchase and it didn't matter how much time it took. Some of the other stores I had been to were high pressure and didn't want to spend the time to ensure you were pleased wtih your purchase. Well thanks to her effort and expertise I bought a ring that my girlfriend recieves compliments on constanlty and could not be happier with.
If you are looking for excellent service to go along with quality, then the Jewelry Exchange is the place to go.

Purchased a pair of diamond earrings and an ankle bracelet. Sales person was very knowledgeable and kept me in my budget. I had shopped at a couple of different jewelry stores and their prices and quality could not be beat. I will shop there again and refer my family and friends!!

I had previously had a pair of diamond earrings purchased from here that were beautiful, so I thought why not go back there (May 2010) to have my engagement ring sized.

I purchased a diamond from here back in March, I had it set in my mothers setting, I was not happy with how it was set. It was too low. I dropped it off and left it to have a new head put on it. When I picked it up it didn't look quite right to me, it is a tiffany setting. But there wasn't much I could do. I was just looking through pictures and found a picture of the original ring and I was right the ring was switched, due to the fact that the sentimental value of this item is priceless and I am extremely upset with the fact that my Mothers ring is gone and your company is so deceitful.

I had a perfect experience with the Jewelry Exchange of Villa Park, IL. Not only was the employee that assisted myself helpful but their website gave all of the information I could have asked for!
