Buttercup Bakery

If you like cupcakes you've got to try this place out, it is FANTASTIC!! The cupcakes last a while if you do not put them in the fridge. The chocolate with chocolate frosting and the red velvet are my favorite.

I live down South, but every time I am in New York, Buttercup is one of my first stops. If only they delivered down here! Get the cupcakes and you will not be disappointed.

I went to Buttercup Bakery to pick up the three layer cake that I ordered. When they opened the box what I saw was a cake NO larger than the less expensive two layer cake. They scraped off some icing to show me that it was indeed three layers but when they sat a two layer cake right beside my (again, more expensive) three layer cake, the three layer cake was absolutely NO bigger. What infuriates me is how they continued to look me in the face and tell me that what I got was a three layer cake when clearly what they do is make the layers smaller so they can say it is three layers. Also, I don't believe they paid attention to my order at all...I asked for a festive looking cake with no writing and I did get a cake with no writing but instead of the cake looking yummy with swirls of icing and some sprinkles, the icing was smoothed down flat as if prepped for writing...it looked unfinished.

I had already stopped buying the cupcakes there because too often I found them to be stale. I will never shop at this bakery again.

Buttercup bakery is famous for the terrfic cupcakes and cakes. Perfect for office parties, they even deliver. The staff is friendly (Who wouldn't be, working in a bakery?!), and clients and coworkers who aren't already familiar with this place will rave. Prices aren't bad for what you're getting - delicious oversize cupcakes. (In fact, most people will cut them in half - they're that huge.)

This place makes the best cupcakes in the city. It is kind of nice to see a menu where there are absolutely NO diet options. The motto of the store is: "Life is Uncertain, East Desert First." Not only do they serve amazing cupcakes, but they also can make cakes and other deserts. But remember they do not deliver to private residences.
