The nurses at St Lukes were wonderful. I cant say enough about my doctor and my stay at St Lukes. I would just like to say that from my arrival in the emergency room to my departure every person I had contact with was thoughtful and kind.

I generally am admitted to St. Luke's Hospital about every three months with chronic flareups of cellulitis. Their nurses are incredible and some of the most caring people around. Their regular menu is quite good and their food this past Easter was really something. You do get a long wait in the ER generally because it takes time to get a room. I do think that they need to hire more nursing staff because there is a great deal put onto the staff who really try to see you at least once every two hours. We have other good hospitals here in the greater St. Louis area but all of my doctors are at St. Luke's and frankly they are the best. After everything I have been through, I still am alive and have all of my limbs. That is the greatest testament to them.

A visit to St. Luke's for a routine knee x-ray for a 10 year-old turned into a two-hour ordeal while people who registered after us were sent in ahead. Both of the patients who were sent ahead seemed to think that we were being skipped and commented on it to the staff who just brushed aside their concerns. Some of the staff were friendly and clearly regretful, but others seemed to be enjoying our discomfort. Shame!

The staff is very friendly at this hospital. I had to stay there for about 3 days...and while I thought the ER staff could have been ALOT faster at getting me admitted, once I got to the hospital everything was much better. The nurses were friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was with the menu....they couldn't seem to understand what a vegetarian is, but most hospitals are like that. Dr's were on time and ordered test quickly. Overall good experience.....for being in a hospital.

The other review for this hospital should have been for that particular doctor. The actual hospital is just great. It is my ER of choice. The ER is way less busy than many other hospitals in St. Louis - which means you can get in and out much faster. The doctors and staff seem very friendly and knowledgable. The hospital has nice waiting areas as well. Very clean.

There is a neurosurgeon on staff at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. The day I had my visit with him, I waited for what seemed like an hour in the waiting room before I saw the doctor. When I finally got in, he seemed to have an attitude that was not good. He looked at my MRI results and said he could not do anything for me at that time. He also told me that even though I was in some very intense pain, he would not prescribe any medication for me because he did not belive in medication, he said medication was only for the brain. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. There are other neurosurgeons out there in the metro area and I would recommend that everyone go to one of them instead.
