Do not rent here, ever.

My boyfriend and I signed a lease for a one-bedroom with an awesome wrap-around patio. Two days later, after we'd gone over everything, signed everything and paid everything, one of the girls from the front desk - Amanda - called and told us that we would be unable to move into that apartment. When we asked why, this was her reply, verbatim:

"Well, like, um, the current resident? She was going to move out, but, like, then she renewed it, but she canceled it, but, um, she like... didn't really cancel it? But she did, but she didn't do it right, but she still did anyway, and we can't ask her to leave, sooo..."

After a while of trying to get any kind of useful information from her (spoiler alert: not once in all of our interactions with Champions Crossing did we ever get anywhere close to achieving that lofty goal) we gave up. When we tried to contact the complex later, she wouldn't answer our phone calls. We had to wait two days to talk to the manager.

We did get in contact with the manager, but had to wait until the next day to get any kind of answer because she had to wait to talk to her boss. Basically, what happened was that the current resident had renewed her lease, then put in notice that she had changed her mind and wanted to move out. During this time, they leased the apartment to us. Then, while the manager was out of the office, the current resident somehow canceled her move-out notice, meaning that the contract that was in effect was her renewed lease. However, the manager admitted to us that the move-out notice should never have been canceled.

In order to make it up to us, they said we could move in to one of their other units - with NO wrap-around patio - until a unit with the floorplan we signed for opened up. They had no idea when this would happen. Oh, but we'd get $100 off first month's rent for being so understanding. So, instead of moving into an apartment we didn't want for an indeterminate amount of time, we decided to leave. They did say that they would refund all of our money, but it's going to take about a month to get back to us. Seriously? Ridiculous. In the meantime, the boyfriend and I are back to square one and our move-out date is coming up pretty quickly, not to mention rent has significantly increased at all the complexes we'd looked at before we signed at Champions Crossing.

If you ever do go to Champions Crossing, talk to Ashley or Rocio. DO NOT talk to Amanda; she's absolutely worthless and it will be a waste of your time.

This is a Very OLD apprtment, interiors are shady, Floor Carpet is of very very bad quality. The apartments are spacious but sometimes have shady tenants. The lack of phone/internet jacks outside the kitchen make it rather of a hassle too.

Pros: Cheap rent.

Nice and quiet apartment community. Facilities are in relatively good condition. Offer a great pool and racquetball court. Staff is friendly and the maintenance requests are answered quickly. Would recommend.
