Brooklyn Bead Box is Rude! Stay Away!

by Brooklyn B.

I wish I could support this local business but after how we have been treated I will never go back. Overpriced and with a rude owner - all in all a bad buying experience. Stay away!

Brooklyn Bead Box is a bad experience

by Suzanne O.

The woman who runs this shop is consistently rude. I've visited several times since the shop has opened and she has warmed up only slightly. Recently I got a surprising smile and "hello" as I walked in. But once I started asking for help, she was once again instantly and obviously annoyed with me. As a result I don't ever get the assistance I need and my projects go unfinished because I don't want to go back and repeat the bad experience.

Pretty Beads, Rude Employee

by Anonymous

I went to check out BBB's
Wine and Bead gathering to take advantage of the10% discount. I also had some ideas of designs and had questions on how to execute them. Well the employee that was working there (I think her name was Erin) was incrediblely cold and rude. Every question I asked her she gave me a weird look like I was speaking a foreign language. I'm not sure she even knew much about beading. I was asking about certain beads and what type they were and she responded coldly "They are all labeled on the out side of their box" which was not the case. Some were labeled, some weren't. On top of that when I was checking out, I had to remind her about getting 10% off, otherwise she wasn't going to do it herself.

This shop has nice beads, but they are pricey. I would rather take the extra time to go into Manhattan to shop in the garment district to get cheaper prices.

I don't think I'll ever shop at BBB again.

Lovely people, lovey beads, lovely new activity

by Lauren H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,092

Even if you have never done any beading before or haven't done it since your 7th birthday, this lovely little shop will make you want to give it a whirl. The selection of beads is endless and they provide a work area for you to get right to it. Don't have your own tools? You can use theirs. They also have a play area for kids. On thursdays they have Bring your own wine and bead night from 7-9!
