There are many activites at Texins Activity Center. They have a nice selection of weights and machines, and have a decent cardio area also. There is a 25 meter swimming pool and a basketball court outside that can also be turned into a tennis court. Locker room is in good condition. There is also an indoor basketball court that is also used for gymnastics and badminton. You can take karate classes. The gym also hosts some events like fun runs and bike rides, though these could use an upgrade in quality and competitiveness. The trainers don't too much. Another plus is that it's never very crowded.

Texins Activity center is located on the TI corporate campus right off of 75 and legacy. They are intended as an employee activity center for Texas Instrument employees, but Raytheon employees get discounts as well. Reasonably priced for community members.
Olympic sized pool. Good childcare by the hour. Fantastic exersize equipment selection. Great and health concession stand. Their kids swimming and soccer camps during Plano school holidays (think spring break) are a life saver for parents who can't take those days off.
PROS: selection of activities
CONS: parking

If you are truly looking for a place to get fit, this is a great place. No matter what time of day you go, there is always plenty of equipment available. Several classes are offered throughout the day. A pool and a basketball court are also available. There are several other branches throughout the city at which you can also work out once you join one of them. Another bonus is the opportunity to take advantage of personal trainers, massages, and discounts for businesses throughout the area.
PROS: never too crowded, friendly staff
