My cat was totally misdiagnosed. We spent money for medication that was not relevant to her health. As it happened my cat had to be put down, but because of the wrong diagnosis of the vet. She was just very sick. But he was way off. I have nothing good to say about Dr Blue. The other vets my do a fine job. I ended up taking my cat to a different vet so I would never have to deal with Dr blue again. The other vet found a totally different problem. My poor cat had to suffer and we had to spend money needlesly.

Great experiences from the staff and care. I had a Chow that lived to be 17 years old they cared for and even put him to sleep and took care of the ashes. I now have two little chick dogs (Shitzu's and another Chow that they do all the shots for. I found a good place for my dogs care.

I have been going to Ann Road Animal Hospital since it opened 5 years ago. Dr Bullard & all his staff have been very good to our family. We have had to put 3 dogs down & have had 2 major surgeries on our dogs & one on our cat. I feel that they are very caring & professional. Their fees are the best in the valley. As long as I am in Las Vegas, I will go to Ann Road Animal hospital. It is like a country animal hospital with all of today's technologies & the best customer service.

I woke up one morning to find my cat bleeding (or so I thought) from her eyes and nose. She was also sneezing alot. In a panic, I called Ann Road Animal Hospital. I was told to come right down. I was seen by one of the male doctors who was really good with me and my cat who is my world. He diagnosed her with an upper respiratory infection. He took time to explain the disease and what I could expect during her recovery. He also sent some medications home with us. I am helping to report my girl is so much better now and I am very happy with the care given to us by Ann Road Animal Hospital.

I just moved to this side of town not to long ago. Being an owner of two pets I needed a new vet. I heard from a couple of coworkers about this hospital. So I called and asked for pricing on a spay the receptionist was very nice and answered all my questions, there prices were very reasonable as well. After a couple of days of thinking i decided to make an appointment to get my little fluffy fixed. On my appointment day i filled out all the paper work and the receptionist called my old vet to get my records. They were very organized, i was in with a doctor in a matter of minutes. The doctor described the procedures that were going to be done with my fluffy and what i should expect. When i picked up fluffy they went over everything with me again and very thoroughly this time. I had no problems with her after that. When i came back for the suture removal i received the same excellent service as i did when i first came in. THANKS ARAH YOU WILL BE DEFINATELY SEEING MORE OF ME AND MY PETS.

I adopted a pet from the shelter and had a free exam coupon for Ann Road. I am so happy I used the coupon! The doctor was very thorough (even for a free exam), and the staff was friendly. I live 20 minutes from the clinic and there are closer clinics to my house, but I will continue to go the extra miles because my pet seemed so comfortable there.

I love Ann Road Animal Hospital. I have taken my dogs there for three years. I believe they get great care and I do get the Vet I request if he is working. The staff has always treated me well and was even helpful when I arrived with vomit all over my clothes!

I went to Ann Road animal Hospital. SIgned up as a new customer. I watched as people would walk in and be given instant service while I was forced to wait. They agree to give free check ups for Lied Animal Shelter but if you're there just for a free checkup they treat you like crap.

The vets here saved two of my cats! The youngest had liver failure and weighed under 6#s when we brought her in. She was jaundiced and had lost about 8#s in a short time. She is my baby and they brought her back from the edge after a lengthy vet stay.
My little boy cat got chronic urinary blockages and required a "rerouting" surgery. After much attention, tears, visits while he was hospitalized and, admittedly, dollars, they gave my little boy a second chance.
Our newest "baby" is on the operating table at this moment and I know she's in the best care!

Now about the money...you need to keep in mind that all services cost so if you are unsure of what you will need to pay for a service you should ask. I have always found that by asking blatantly upfront you will get a blatant upfront answer. They do offer a military discount on most services, but not mess. They aren't the most inexpensive but what they've done for my little "family" has been worth it.

The only negative comment I have is that they have, in the last two and a half years, had two assistants who seemed to be childish in the sense that they didn't pay attention. Those two times I had a problem with the assistants I spoke with Lori who, in my book, has proved she can do no wrong. Lori is eager to help remedy problems or to explain why things were said/done. (not mentioning any other assistants but many of them are great)

thank you ann road animal hospital.. The amazing doctors..and staff. You put up with crazy pet parents like me and still keep the wellbeing of the pets as your top priority!

I took my cat to Ann road animal hospital for a rabies vaccine. I was instructed to keep a close eye on my cat in case she has a negative reaction to the vaccine. The following day my cat was acting strange. She was hiding & refusing to eat or drink water. I called the clinic 10 minutes before closing time. I was told that a Vet would be calling me right back since the vet-tech on the phone was not able to instruct me on what to do. Five minutes later I get a phone call back from one of the vets. The vet instructed me to check my cats gums to see if they were pale. Since she could not tell by my description if my cat was truly in distress, she then instructed me to take my cats temperature with a digital thermometer. This had to be done rectally. I have ZERO experience with checking rectal temperatures, but i tried & my cat bit through my thumb. I ended up having to take my cat into the clinic after hours for emergency care (if the vet would have listened to my request and allowed me to bring in my cat instead of walking me through a do-it your self vet exam, time would not have been wasted and it would not have been after hours by the time I got there). I was told that my cat was having a bad reaction to the vaccine and she would require an over night stay. I asked about the fee's, since I wasn't even sure if i could afford over night care. The vet described the IV fluids and the boarding fee... Since the fee's were within my budget, i left my cat there and picked her up the next day. I returned the next morning and was given a bill that was more than double the amount explained to me. When I asked the vet about the bill her response was " oh, I guess I should have told you about the after hour emergency fee". She failed to mention that fee & i was expected to come up with an additional $150 right then and there if I wanted to take my cat home. I then asked her why the previous vet who did the initial vaccine instructed me to call if my cat gets sick. I understand paying for fluids and meds, but not to be charged consult fee's and e.r fee's. At this point I was feeling low. My thumb was infected & i needed medical attention as well. Why the vet thought it was appropriate to instruct me to stick a thermometer in my cat is beyond me. The emergency fee should have been mentioned when I asked about the costs involved. The entire emergency visit could have been avoided if the vet tech would have instructed me to come in before closing hours as opposed to telling me that a Vet would have to call me back (conveniently minutes after closing hours). I called the Las Vegas Humane society to inquire about cat vaccines. Since I know nothing about Rabies, & the Vet at Ann Road animal hospital was vague through out the entire process, i was left to call around and ask about the reaction my cat went through. I was told by the humane society that is was more than likely that my cat was over injected with the rabies vaccine and it obviously made her sick. Whether or not that was the case, I should have never been placed in a position where i was forced to A. hurt myself and B. be set up for after hour fee's.... I ended up with a $350 vet bill on top of the fee's i had initially paid the DAY BEFORE. I also incurred a lovely hospital bill of my own.. A lady with the humane society spent an entire day calling that clinic asking for a manger to speak with her. She was unsuccessful in speaking to anyone in charge, so she left a message instructing them to not fight back my reversed charges if no one with Ann road was going to contact me or her, since i was encouraged by the humane society to contact my bank and to reverse my charges. They never contacted me about the charges or our complaints. It seemed like the clinic dropped the issue and did not attempt to dispute the charge. 4 months later, my dog gets sick and i take him to Tropicana Animal Hospital ( I was unaware that these were "sister clinics"). I paid my dogs vet bill and went home. Two days later my bank account was over drawn. Ann road animal hospital RE-RAN my debit card info and charged the $350 that i had previously disputed 4 months ago. I never got an email, phone call or written letter regarding my charge back. I was just re-charged for the entire bill.
It's sad, but i would recommend contacting the humane society and asking for Veterinary recommendations before you seek out a new vet. This has been a financial nightmare for me & could have been avoided if the details of my pets expenses were explained to me and running my debit card without my consent isn't very nice either. I contacted my bank & they did not follow the proper charge back/dispute protocol, my bank is recommending that i seek out legal action. Great, more time and money spent on Ann RD. animal clinic.

I took my 8 year old dog to this hospital knowing I would be told I should put her down. She had started dropping weight and looked horrible. I saw the head doctor there and recommended doing tests before making the decision to put her down. The test were not cheap but I have my dog back. She has put on weight and is happy and I have her for longer. Thanks Ann Road.

When we brought our cat in, he was bleeding profusely from his urethra. I had already called ahead and told them my name, the cat's name, that he was bleeding and that i was on my way. When we arrived, the vet tech Amber asked for my name and what was wrong. I told her my cat was bleeding, we had called, and we were regular patients and spelled my last name for her.
She then asked for it again.
She snapped at me that we had never been there before and that they were not going to help us until they knew who we were. I assured her we had been there a few weeks ago for my dog Priscilla, that Elvis had gotten his shots not too long before that and that my cat had just been fixed. We have been clients since we moved to North Las Vegas.
She asked me to spell my last name again.
Then while I was trying to give her my phone number to help speed up the process she answered the phone and chit chatted with a friend while I stood there flabbergasted for 5 minutes.
She hung up and laughingly asked me for my last name, and to spell it.
I ended up spelling my name about seven or eight times. My husband spelled his last name four or five times.
We had to repeatedly spell Elvis for this woman
About 10 minutes into this little game, she began to grin at us, every time she asked us to spell our last names again, or asked us if our dog's name was "fluffy" "roscoe" or "luke".
My cat has been hospitalized for two days now. When we pick him up we??re picking up our other 4 animals records and finding a new vet. Amber??s passive-aggressive game just cost ARAH four patients.

If the staff do read this review they will clearly know who and why it's being written. We have three dogs. All three have gone to ARAH since we moved here in 2007. They have always been courteous, kind, and the experiences have been great for us and our animals. Our dogs are like kids to us. Our German Shepard was in heat for two weeks and kept outside for obvious reasons. She was filthy. We took her in after her cycle was done and requested a bath and for her to be spayed. COMMON SENSE would be to ask for a bath before a surgery. My husband asked several people, including the vet, that she receive a bath before surgery. We picked her up...no bath...with a 5 in incision on her belly. My husband and I are both RN's. We KNOW how to take care of an incision. Before any surgery a patient gets a pre operational scrub down. We DID NOT take the E-collar off or let her run...as we were accused of doing. She got an infection. $100 in antibiotics later I called to discuss the idea of waving the cost since she wasn't bathed first. I was met with rudeness, belittlement, and incompetence. The vet tech I spoke with kept telling me "antibiotics can't be given out for free", "the doc said it was a sterile procedure" (even if it was...she was filthy everywhere else), "did you take the E-collar off?". I was enraged to be so accused. First, this is my BABY. Second, I'm a registered nurse for goodness sakes. By the end of the conversation I had gotten nowhere and the tech was just mumbling responses. So, I knew she wasn't paying attention anymore. I am so sad that this happened. We were so happy with this vet for two years. Congratulations ARAH...you just lost a customer.

My husband & I left our 3 dogs with ARAH for 4 nights. When we picked them up last night, they were in great shape. All of them had been bathed (so soft and smelled great), and their teeth had been brushed. The tracking records were meticulous! I believe the staff there might read these reviews. I will remain a loyal customer and plan to continue referring friends and neighbors to this wonderful business and its loving and professional staff! Thanks ARAH! JENYAN & Alberto Martinez :-)

When my dachshunds Lucy went to have her bladder stones removed I made the mistake by taking her to another vet. After a few days her stitches broke open at home and he entire intestines fell out of he belly. I immediately rushed her to Ann Road Animal Hospital where they responded to my emergency like a well trained emergency trauma unit.Within seconds they had her under medication for pain and started emergency procedures to save her life. Everyone knew what to do as Dr Bullard instructed his team and everyone stopped what they were doing to help save my Lucy's life. No one was emotion, inexperienced or out of control but me. I was sure Lucy was near death and in unbeiveable pain. They took control of the situation and save my dogs life. I owe them much gratitude for their professionalism and expertise. I still get emotional thinking about what happen that morning but feel better knowing they are close and prepared to handle emergencies.
I will never go anywhere else again. You guys are a Gods Blessing! Thank You.

This is a great hospital. I used to pick-up lab samples at vet's offices all over Las Vegas and this is the hospital I chose. It is not the most convenient one to my house but the staff is fantastic. I love Dr. Bullard!

The front office staff is friendly and happy and always remember my name and my dogs names. The back office staff is wonderful. I've had the opportunity to see them in action and they are great.

My dealings with the office manager have always been positive. She is helpful, respectful, professional and nice.

I highly recommend this hospital for your family pets.

My husband and I trusted our clinic to board our cats and dogs for over a week. We received courteous and professional service. When we picked up the dogs, all of them smelled like urine - ughh. Other than that they seemed well-adjusted and (of course) happy to see mom and dad again. Health-wise the cats were good also - no urine smells. However, one cat has NOT STOPPED MEOWING since her return home. I can't help but wonder if she didn't get any attention or too much. Guess I'll never know. All in all, I am fairly happy with the service. ONE IMPORTANT SUGGESTION: ask to SEE the kennels/runs/condos beforehand. That may be where we might have gone wrong with our dogs. PS - Great doctors there!

We have been bringing our animals to Ann Rd Animal Hospital since they opened. We love them so much that we tell all our family and friends about them. They truly care about the pets. We have been there for routine procedures, and for emergency procedures and we have never been disappointed.

Everyone is very polite and loving to you and your animal. They take good care of your animal and even send you notices for the next time your animal needs their shots. They are very open and friendly people who truly love their job.

I love this place and so do my dogs. Vaccines are a good price (there is no exam fee) and the staff, vets, etc are all very attentive and friendly. I never wait long at all! My puppy had a allergic reaction to a vaccine and they took him immediately and helped him! The place is CLEAN and smells good. I would highly rec Ann road Animal Hospital!

I find them unorganized. Most of the vets seem inexperienced. Both of my dogs have been misdiagnosed. You see a different vet each time you go, even if you request a certain doctor. I hear that their boarding services have improved. When I left my dogs there, they came out smelling like urine and feces, and were wild. They took the dogs out on a leash a couple of times a day for about two minutes each time. The staff smokes or talks on the cell phone while outside with the dogs. Not recommended unless you are in a pinch.

I have active and retired assistance dogs and rely on Dr. B and the excellent staff at the Ann Road Animal Hospital to keep my animals as healthy as possible. The level of care, the compassion, the sincerity and willingness to take as much time to listen, explain and help us understand what is happening--is exceptional. I have been more than satisfied with the care, my animals all adore the staff, and I appreciate the patience and kindness in which they handle my dogs. This is a terrific clinic, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have them in our community. I would never go anywhere else now!

Young Vets. Went there for over 2 years with my animals. Had a different Vet every time. Dr Bullard was the best of the ones seen. All the others were young and inexperienced. On my last visit they Improperly diagnosed my Dogs problem. Suggested Surgery when it was not needed. Decided to go elsewhere. Didnt want an inexperienced Vet Operating on my Dog if he in fact did need Surgery. Come to find out my Dog did not need Surgery and was mis diagnosed. I will not go back.

Nia the Cocker Spaniel is our first dog we've owned. I checked around for Vets and went to Ann Road Animal Hospital on a recommendation. The experience has been great from the very beginning. The staff is wonderful!! They are so friendly and eager to help you with any issues. They have walk in appointments which works great for my schedule. Each time we've been there the've made us feel like we are a priority. Isn't that essentially how everyone wants to be made to feel? Since our dog is like one of our children we only want the best for her and that's what we've gotten from Ann Road Animal Hospital. Thank you for all you do!!

Sincerely, this place is the best. On every level, my vast experience with ann road animal hospital has always been terrific. They are professional, go over and above consistently - and each of the vets really care about my doggies. They are very knowledgable and thorough, as well. I am very impressed, over and over.

Couldn't wait for them to open to bring our two dogs. Our older dog, an Australian Shepard got very sick, so we took her to see Dr. Bullard. Not only did he treat her but his follow-up was unbelievable. He called, had us come back several times (at no additional cost) but he made a friend of our pup. She was with us an additional year. When Pepper got sick again we knew it was time to stop her suffering and the staff were so caring and gentle. Not only with Pepper but with our family. It was very hard to say goodbye but the whole staff got involved to make us comfortable. They even sent us a beautiful card and everyone signed it.Now our little 12 year old, 6 lb Shitzu, Patsy, is having trouble with arthritis. Again the staff and Dr. Bullard has been great! I thank the stars above that we found these wonderful people!!!

I have taken my pets here for almost two years. Love the staff! I've had to call long after hours for advice and received prompt and courteous service. The rates are great (I typically pay about $25 per shot visit). I also had my dogs broken leg treated here. The nurses not only took great care of him, but sent him home with a decorated cast and everything. Very caring, knowledgeable staff more than worthy of caring for your pet!

I bring my dog here for boarding and shots. The staff and vets are nice. The inside is clean. The outside sometimes needs a little pick up, but it's usually ok. The rates are reasonable and I've never had to wait too long.

I have had some bad experiences with my 3 schnauzers, but Lori and Dr S as well as all the staff are just wonderful. I lost my older boy not long ago and they were so compassionate and kind. My other 2 boys love going there for boarding...the staff make over them and treat them like family. We come about 40 miles to board but it is worth the drive. I never worry when I have to leave them. Widdle and Wascal send their puppy love!! And Buckwheat loved you too!

PROS: They treat your pets like family

I have used them for routine medical care, a small emergency and boarding. The dogs have loved the staff; they have been very attentive to all of our needs. Their rates are very reasonable. The facility is very clean, bright and cheerful. My dogs were very happy and clean smelling after a long weekend of boarding. We will continue to bring them our business!

PROS: prices, clean, staff
CONS: traffic--lots of construction

I boarded my dog at Ann Road Animal Hospital while we went away for a week. I had had pretty bad experiences boarding him at other facilities, and was a little uneasy leaving him, but was pleasantly surprised. The vet came in, and answered all my questions. He did not seem rushed, rather, generally concerned. When I picked up my dog, he seemed very happy, and not at all standoffish, as he has been in the past...Highly recommended!
