I've been getting oil from Curley's fuel for several years and used them for furnace cleanings. No issues with either of these. However, if you need service be careful. The technicians were good but whoever is running the service department could wind up gouging you on the price of components. I had a part fail and was told the part would cost in excess of $400 and they could not get it for several days. I searched the web and found the part ranging between $150 - $200 retail. I even found it in town for around $155 and in stock. Picked it up and because it was simple to install (15 minutes) I was up and running in less than 2 hours. That's a big difference from 4 to 5 days. Curley's could have easily done what I did and at a reasonable price to accommodate a loyal customer. I have no problem with making a profit but come on, over double what I could get it for? Do yourself a favor if you deal with Curley's. Take the time to research your issue on the web if you can. You could wind up saving a lot of money by dealing with another company that has more integrity. It appears Curley's has no problem taking advantage of you if you let them, in my opinion. I will be doing business elsewhere after this experience.

Had Curley's Fuel Oil delivery for 4 years & had their cleaning service also. Never a problem. This year (2011) I had a water tank leak in a boilermate & they were called to fix it. They actually moved a sensor connection to a new port & the leak was averted. Leak formed again in 3 months & called them on a weekend for help. They came & couldn't help. Charged maximum for service call. I contested the charge & they told me to stick-it! I told them I no longer will do business with them after paying that bill. Well low and behold, they deliver 181 gallon oil fill-up to my house this week without me calling them & charged .27/gallon higher that Andrews Oil. Is this legal? Maybe I'll tell them this time to stick-it !! Or better yet, they can pump the 181 gallons out of my tank & I'll call Consumer Protection on them!! Same ole story.. Treat your customer nice, they keep coming back. Step on our toes..GOOD BYE!!

Curley's Fuel is a great fuel company. The prices are low, the staff is pleasant and the minimum deliveries are low. I would recommended this company to anyone! Most companies will not do same day deliveries, but Curley's will always make an effort. Thank you to the staff at Curley's!

I have been dealing with Curley's fuel for the past couple of months. I am new to the area and me and my husband are seniors. The office ladys are top notch. Service has been wonderful. It's nice to deal with a company with morals.

I have never had a problem with getting oil (even the same day!) or the service department. They have an excellent reputation and I wouldnt change oil companies no matter how low other (discounters) oil companies are. They have been there everytime I have no heat or oil.
Talking with ANY girl on the office has always been pleasureable and they are super understanding if I have a problem with a bill or payment.
Thanks Curley's!

Used Curley's to get heating oil - they were friendly and delivered oil the next day. They were also the cheapest prices in the area.

I love Curley's fuel but you are correct in that there is "one" indifferent person who sometimes works the office phones, but most of the time I get Dot, and she is the wonderful person with the pleasant phone manner and personality. They have ALWAYS been fair, prompt, and good service providers with that one lone exception of the "not so nice" lady. I haven't had heard her (the not nice one) answer the phone in quite a while... maybe they got enough complaints about her???

Anyway, I highly recommend them for their competitive pricing (I always buy a la carte now) and prompt friendly service!!! Kudos to CURLEY'S!!!!!

I have used Curley's for purchasing heating oil almost exclusively for nearly 10 years -- thousands of gallons of oil. And what were once great prices (relative to local competition) are now only average, if not above average prices (again, compared to competitors).

Still, I recently awarded them my burner cleaning for the first time. I couldn't be home that day but my wife was here. Long story short, after the service was completed and paid for, she never received a copy of the service order describing what was done, test results, efficiency rating, etc. When I called to request a copy and to ask a question about the boiler pressure level, the office lady (a newer voice, I noticed ?? not the pleasant woman who had answered in year??s past) was completely indifferent. I asked to talk to the service manager. She said he worked in the field and he would call me when he returned, but she couldn't say when that would be. I didn??t want to wait by the phone until who knows when, so I asked for his number. After being put on hold, she told me I would be called within a short period of time.

I was called ?? but not by the service manager as promised, but by the service tech who serviced my boiler. I told my story. He recalled the house, but said he doubted that my wife hadn??t received a copy of the service order. So I had to recite my wife??s blow-by-blow description of how his assistant had come to the door for the check but never left a copy of any paperwork. After a side bar discussion with his faithful sidekick, he acknowledged that might have been the case. I asked for a copy. He said they would need to find it but they would mail me a copy.

A week later, no copy received, so I called again. And spoke again with the unhelpful office lady. She said they would mail me a copy. I said ??That??s interesting -- that??s what the technician said he would do last week. How do you even know who I am since I haven??t identified myself yet?? ??We have caller ID?, was the reply. Nice job ?? you??d think that would've give them the opportunity to proactively say ??Good afternoon Mr. Joy, how can I help you??, or better yet ??We??re sorry Mr. Joy, I know we said we??d get that out to you, let me check on what happened ?? is there a number where we can fax that to you ?? or perhaps you??d like it by e-mail??. Or how about just plain old "thank you for your business."

You can??t find the owner??s name anywhere on the Web and they don??t belong to the Chamber of Commerce, so you don??t even know who to ask for to talk to someone who actually signs paychecks. Then they don??t do what they say will do, so you have to wonder if you get ripped off on the service, too. And to cap it all off, the technician (or his helper) ??inspected? a personal item of mine that he encountered while in my basement, for which he had no business examining, much less touching ?? and I have the big greasy fingerprint to prove it.

Bottom line ?? after 10 years with this company, I??m done. Suggest you save yourself the trouble and avoid these people, too, at least for service, and unless their oil price is give-away cheap, don??t bother giving them your oil business either.

I attempted to set up an oil delivery. Curley's called and said the driver could not find my house (he was 1/4 mile away). I gave him directions. He never showed up. I called the office and they said the driver is angry because he can't find your house and you're too far away anyway (I live in Ellington). They already deliver to my NEXTDOOR NEIGHBOR so I'm confused as to how he couldn't find my house and why it's too far away. There is more to the story but the point is THIS IS A HORRIBLE OIL COMPANY REGARDLESS OF THEIR PRICE.

Curley's has always been our regular heating oil provider, but with the sky-high prices, I asked my husband to call around to check anyway. I would rather stay loyal to a local business, but times are tough. He called at least 5 other oil dealers, and Curley's was still the cheapest! They also have a lower minimum delivery amount, which really helps when you're on a budget. Thank goodness!
