Wagville

Been taking my Husky Orson to Wagville for 2 years now, and he always comes back tired and happy! Never had any problems there, the prices are a steal, and the staff is friendly and obviously loves the dogs. I've met the owner and she's a real dog person (has four dogs of her own!) and really loves the animals above and beyond everything else. She knows all of the dogs' names and really seems to care intimately about each and every one.

Reading through the negative reviews on here... I just feel bad for what is obviously some kind of sabotage. Notice how they're all by users with only one review on all of insiderpages, and how a bunch of them even mention some kind of personal vendetta against the owner? Smacks of a bitter ex-employee on some lame internet campaign to me. Insiderpages should really police this kind of thing-- there are ways to check for the same IP address.

I was taking a trip and needed to board my dog at the last minute. She usually stays with my parents but they were leaving out of town too and my dog's previous stays at a pet hospital/kennel proved traumatic. Just before I was about to cancel my trip, I found Wagville online and secured an "interview" appointment for the same day with the owner, Julie. She spent nearly an hour with us connecting with my dog, Frida. Julie took her in to meet the other dogs in the small dog area and assessed her behavior carefully to ensure that she would be comfortable for a long weekend at Wagville. I won't lie - Frida is a Princess Puppy and pretty high maintenance (totally my fault) so I was worried that she might be rejected. Nonetheless, Julie agreed to board my dog and I dropped her off the next day. I called everyday to check on her and the staff was honest and caring. The first day was a little tough and Frida whined a lot but then she made friends and enjoyed the rest of her stay. I watched her daily on the video camera and everyone was very attentive. The proof is in the pudding - when Frida returned home she was happy and healthy!! She did not exhibit any of the bad behaviors that she usually does when boarded at the kennel - or even when she stays with her grandparents and gets spoiled! I am very impressed with Wagville, Julie and the staff and we will definitely be back to visit!! Thank you for providing a great doggy alternative and affordable environment...with no cages or crates! Frida says "Wuff Wuff" (Thanks a bunch!)

I went to this place once. When I returned from vacation, I was told that everything was fine. This was false. My dog had an extreme illness and I had to rush her to the emergency room. When I called and asked Julie if there were any sick dogs at the facility, she said no. I asked around and found out that another dog was ill at the facility during the same time period. I questioned Julie about this...she then admitted that a dog was sick but she felt it was unrelated. If you cared about the other dogs, you would have contacted the other owners and advised them that they may have been exposed to some illness. I could have avoided the serious health condition if wagville was honest and proactive.
Rather than enjoying my vacation, I came home to vet bills and a seriously ill dog. I won't make that mistake again. My other dog came back frightened. She was shaking. I don't know what went on at this place, but it took weeks for my dog to get over the trama.

Just so you know, I take my dogs to Jennifer and Phillip Abbey at the Abbey Abet Dude Ranch in Castaic. I know--drive time. No worries. They will pick up and deliver the dogs to and from your home. They are also much cheaper in price. I actually pay less for a longer period of time and delivery than i did at wagville. An added plus--My dogs love it there and they have also been returned in perfect health. Just a suggestion.

I've known Wagville from the day they opened. The owner Julie is great and they manage the staff well. The dogs seem happy and the place is clean. If there is a problem bring it to their attention and they do their best to resolve it. I have referred several people here - great place for boarding and daycare.

My family and neighbors were sooo happy to here about wagville only to be sadly let down... we started to worry when our very loving, goofy and playful, and social rottweiler started to become scared of friends that he had already known. We soon found out why... we walked in on the staff of wagville screaming at him. that not ok... other neighbors have also had some similar experiences. please i beg you for your animal's sake do not take your dog there.

my shihtzu (Bella) gets groomed by nicole EVERY TWO WEEKS. She ownes a shihtzu to named toby. we love her very much. we have been to many groomers and no one compares to her work. I can tell u this bella is very happy to see nicole every time, and i only leave her for 1 1/2 hrs to get a haircut and bath. one on one with every dog, and no cage dry only hand dry. service is unreliable and poor. Picked up my dogs from grooming and both of them had their nails cut too short. One my dogs nails was bleeding, not just one but two. I will never return to this place, Turn over is high, different groomer every time. something fishy with owner/management. I will not recommend this place to my worst enemy. BEWARE, take your business somewhere else!

I have been taking my 3 dogs to Wagville for well over a year now. They have been there for both boarding and daycare. All 3 dogs absolutely love it. I know that when I leave them there (and I have left them there for weeks at a time) they will be happy and healthy. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I never fear leaving them in the care of Julie and her staff because I know that they love my dogs just as much as I do and are doing their absolute best to keep them happy in a totally safe environment. Wagville is awesome. I recommend it to anyone who loves their dogs.

We have been bringing our dog to Wagville since they opened their doors and we have nothing but great things to say about Julie, the owner, and her staff. Our little dog has spent the night several times, and he goes for daycare and field trips all of the time. He has never been hurt, sick or uncared for. They love him as much as we do, and we've been to at least 4 other places before this. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a dog, and I know many, many people who feel the same as we do. Their groomer is fantastic, they serve the healthiest food to the dogs. I'm sure if a dog was hurt, they must have felt horrible about it. It could happen anywhere that dogs are together. I hear of it all the time at doggie parks. If you are afraid of that, then you better keep your dog at home.

The owner is a lawyer

she should of sticked to law, and never gotten involved with the dog business, the dog that was killed while back

was killed under her own supervision. she is a smart woman dont get me wrong, but she can also use some serious help. from people who actually have good dog background. she hasnt been able to keep a steady crew, people come and go. because they cant put up with her. and her attitude.

she also has all her workers on a waiver. so if they get hurt its not her responsibility. even though the workers are putting themself in danger breaking up dog fights.

Wagville is a great doggy day care with holistic healthcare including therapies and massage. Every dog gets individual attention and you can tell the staff really does love dogs.

The facility is clean and full of the kind of things that dogs love. There is even an 8.000 sqare foot playground which is completely doggy safe!

There are no cages, instead dogs sleep overnight with the caretaker or on wagville fluffy beds. It's truly a home away from home for pups of all types.

Prices are very reasonable for this kind of pampering.

Bottomline: No one will love your dog like you do, but Wagville sure comes close.

What a suprise, a 5 star review with the exact same text as a review posted at Craigslist. A good samaritan that is just going around defending Wagville at random?

Hardly. Wagville is clearly hurt that people are posting negative reviews about their substandard and dangerous practices. Maybe they should provide safer care for dogs, rather than falsely pretend to review their own establishment.

I am the co-owner of the dog that was killed at Wagville. I won't pretend otherwise. My view of their business may be biased, but at least I admit who I am.

My dog, a small pomeranian, was scared of everyone and everything before she started going there. They have really helped socialize her and she's so much happier now. There's a great webcam where I can watch her day and night; it looks to me like the people there care for her a great deal. I don't know what I would have done without them.

My 10lb Boston Terrier pup was placed to sleep overnight with multiple dogs including a PIT BULL mix. My dog was ATTACKED and KILLED by the PIT BULL mix. Expect the worse.

My dog came home the first time with bloody scratches on his belly and the second time he had fleas AND was sick. I don't know what goes on here but it is unacceptable and this place is not someplace that ANYONE should leave their dog at. I will never come back here again and I SHOULD have demanded my money back.

Don't let the nice website and nice front office fool you - this place is terrible.. A friend of mine worked here and a dog was KILLED here overnight.. At night there is only one person.. Do you really want to take your dog someplace where a dog was KILLED?? Please please don't take your dog here.. It's not safe.. None of the employees know what they are doing and the owner couldn't care less about anything but herself.
