I was a client of marsha's for a couple sessions. We were just not a good match. I too felt marsha had her own agenda. She is very patient and it is easy to scheudle appts. I liked the fact in this office each counselor does thier own scheduling and billing and marsha had evening appts avail. But overall I needed something she wasn't. Therapy is very subjective and each person is going to view it differenlty. What I did discover is I do much better with male therapists.

I happen to find this web site when I was looking for Marsh's telephone number. Although Melissa's review was written in 2005, it was the first thing that popped up when I Googled Marsha's name. I feel compelled to write my own review so that a 4 year-old review would not adversely affect the potential for more clients for Marsha.

I have had multiple sessions with Marsha and feel that I am able to express myself freely and am not redirected to any "agenda" she may have. However, all therapists and counselors must at least ask some questions to enable the client/patient to reflect on what he/she has been discussing and to come to a conclusion or some closure on what they have been experiencing.

All in all, Marsha is a caring, professional, and effective counselor. I have made great strides in my progress. I believe it is because of a combination of my determination and her counseling that this has come to be.

By the way, contrary to Melissa's statement, Marsha is NOT a doctor. She is a licensed social worker/counselor.

I use to go to counseling with this doctor. She is nice and very compassionate. However I never felt like I truely got to talk to her about what I wanted to. She always had an agenda of her own... questions to ask and then practices to do or whatever. It was never open talking time to tell her what was on my mind or open discussion. Even when I would start to it was like she took control and would ask questions and then go her own direction for the whole session. I don't know if all counselors are like this but I didn't like that.

PROS: She did work with payments
CONS: Took control of sessions
