Luv it, Luv it, Luv it !! Everytime I'm in Pitt visiting my daughters I have to go there twice, once to stuff my face while we're there, and once to load up all the good stuff to take home. Fresh and inexpensive .

This is a wonderful Italian market. I have gotten fresh breads, olives, sausage, pastas, and deli meats here. Everything is so fresh and good. There are many bulk items available. There were about 7 kinds of coucous there to pick from.

Pennsylvania Macaroni has the best of both worlds. They have more selection than any other Italian food store in the country. Between the extensive cheese counter, deli, olive oil, pasta, bread, and Italian specialites, Penn Mac has something to offer everyone. The price that Penn Mac offers is almost half of the cost of the Giant Eagle or local grocery store costs and contain a wide range of items at a moderatly price to offer customers. The store is full of hard working employees who are always willing to get the customer what they need. At my time in Pittsburgh, I was able to spend almost an hour at the cheese counter just trying all the different cheeses. After traveling down Penn Ave, Penn Mac is the most active, exciting, and welcoming store in the Strip District. As a wholesale customer, they have been more reliable and best priced distributor in the Tri-State region.

After traveling to Italy, Penn Mac is full of all the candies, oils, and olives from all reigions of Italy. I actually had a hard time finding some of the items in Italy that I was accustomed to in Penn Mac.

The Pennsylvania Macaroni Company contains the most elaborate selection of Italian food on the planet under one roof at a price that is unmatched by any other International market.

This place has everything. And everything is reasonably priced. What more could you want?

I go here to get pasta, bread, (some) produce, deli meats and cheeses, etc etc.There is a lot of great stuff at Penn Mac: cured meats, breadworks bread, fresh pasta, bulk herbs, olive oils, etc.,.

The thing that'll keep you coming back is the cheese. It's all good: aged Asiago, Buffalo Mozzarella, Vermont Chevre, Drunken Goat, Roquefort, Bucheron, Farmer's, Stilton, and even Marscapone for your Tiramisu.

This is a great place to get supplies for a business or just food for your own home. I couldn't recommend it any higher.

You can order online now with this store, but you really need to visit this place to get the full experience. It's like stepping into an old-world Italian grocery store, right in the middle of Pittsburgh's Strip District. They offer a full line of groceries and produce, but are really known for their Italian food products. The line at the deli counter can be 4 - 5 people deep sometimes, but just mill around the store for awhile doing some other shopping -- it clears out soon. My niece got some wonderful fresh-grated parmesan to bring home with her to friends in Chicago, and my favorite were the packages of moist, ripe fresh figs. The clerks are very friendly and helpful; they make you feel like "family."
