4 Stars: New York Costumes (by Carrie K.)

It's absolutely wonderful in here. All those wacky and bizzare costumes and furniture. I love the chair that's in the shape of a shoe. Also the one that's in the shape of a palm kind of cupping your bottom. The service there though isn't that great. They look at you as if you're about to steal. They don't allow you to take pictures with the costumes on, which just sucks a lot of the fun out of putting on the masks and etc. Also, their harry potter goods are lacking in quality.

4 Stars: role-playing/fantasy costumes for sale (by Jennifer Z.)

This costume store holds a pretty large selection of outfits. Since Halloween is especially popular with the NYU college students that live in this area, this place becomes a madhouse when that time of the year rolls along. They have all the accessories to complete your fantasy get-up. All year round, their window display is fantastically freakish. Since they have two entrances and hence two window displays, remember to check both out.
