Felix was everything my wife and I could have asked for from a celebrant! He was professional and friendly in all of our discussions. I had a lot of questions regarding the paperwork and Felix answered them all with the utmost patience! I was anxious to send in immigration paperwork for my wife (Brazilian, she and Felix were able to speak together in Portuguese!). Like the other reviews, Felix helped us understand how we could hand deliver the paperwork to the court and get the signed marriage certificate in person. Felix was very flexible with me while I tried to nail down a date for our ceremony. We had a very private ceremony on Thanksgiving day and we were so thankful he was able to take the time from his holiday to come wed us. Felix did a wonderful job leading the ceremony and I wouldn??t hesitate in recommending his services to any other couple looking for a fantastic celebrant.

My (now) wife and I have been living together for 11 years now, having two children - but were not married. I'm a US citizen and she is not, and while she was here in the US last time we visited a lawyer to check how she could obtain "permanent resident" status. The advice was to get married in the US and then apply for citizenship at the US embassy in her home country - which would be much faster because of the shorter processing times abroad. The only problem was that at this point she had only left 2 days before leaving the US, and the procedure was unknown to both of us.

So, obtained a marriage license - 10 minutes. Quick search on the web gave this hit (and review) for Mr Baldeon, I called him. We agreed to meet at his home in the evening and do the wedding ceremony. Explained him the situation and asked to be as quick as possible, non-religious and informal. He agreed and even gave us the option to hand in the papers to the court to have the marriage certificate in shorter time. Normal processing takes about 10 days. We arrived at his home with my bride and my brother's family (my bro was curious how such a quick wedding will go :) and were prepared for a short soulless procedure. We were wrong with the word "soulless". He opened the door dressed in full suit, the room prepared for a wedding - you know, fireplace, candles, all stuff - and left us for 5 minutes to wind down while he prepared the paperwork. After that we had the wedding - my brother's family started to weep they were so touched. Felix did an excellent job with presenting a short, but still memorable ceremony we all agreed. Then he handed us the documents which we had to take back to the court and there we got our official marriage certification (another 10 minutes). We were all set in less than 24 hours, and it was still a very pleasant experience, without that bad mouth of "married in a rush".

He is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and specialized as an immigration attorney...

Was it a good deal? Question not applicable :) Highly recommended!

When my husband and I got married, we had only one day to take care of all the marriage related business before he had to report back to the military. Therefore, we were under a very tight deadline and there was no time for a full wedding. We got Felix's name from the marriage celebrant list on the Fairfax County Government website. His fee was $10 (I don't know if that has been increased) and he could perform the service either at the court or in his residence, which was (and still is) only a few blocks from the court. He was very friendly and pleasant when we met him (and he still is). We were very nervous but he understood. Normally the signed marriage certificate has to be mailed by the marriage celebrant to the county court, which would take days. We explained our special situation and he agreed to let us hand carry the paperwork back to the court, so we could get the certified copies needed for insurance purposes and my dependent military ID. Therefore, he was very accommodating and allowed us to get everything done on that day. I still appreciate him for the flexibility.

PROS: Accommodating, friendly, gentle, and inexpensive.
CONS: I can't think of any.
