Six Flags prices their one day ticket just as high as the Disney parks, yet they have a lot less to offer. I have been visiting Six Flags St. Louis for over 30 years. In that time very little has changed. There are some new rides but they have done a very poor job of the park upkeep. Not worth the price in my opinion.

We had seaon tickets this year and went many times, which is the way to go if you are going to be there more than twice in a year. There was plenty to do of course, but I found the park in dire need of simple painting and repairs. Many of the special planned activity days were unorganized and unprofessional in my opinion. Still my 7 year old loved it. The water park was extremely crowded during the summer and if you were not there by 1pm, you could forget finding a chair.

PROS: A good value for family entertainment
CONS: Could use a good coat of paint and general repairs

Six Flags St Louis has lots of variety for kids and adults. During halloween they have "fright-fest" and halloween activities. Children three and under are free, which makes taking little kids much better. Also the season passes are the way to go if you plan on going more than once during the season. They have many rollercoaster and also a water park. It is fun for the family and many days can be spent there to see and ride everything.

Although the entrance fee is a little high, they offer a lot of roller coasters. And even a water park. One admission covers both parks, which is nice. I would suggest the season pass if you think you'll go here at least three times in one summer. It pays itself off after 2 visits. And if you do the family deal, its even cheaper.

Dont let the name fool you, its actually in Eureka Missouri and not St. Louis. Its about an hour drive outside of St. Louis. This is definitely a fun amusement park. As usual, it could use some updating. They do have some good rollercoasters though!

If you have any doubts about a season pass to this place, put them aside. That will be the best summer investment you can make for your family. Bring a lunch, your suit if you decide to go to Hurricane Harbor and just know you will have a great time. The food is of course, expensive, but the fun is worth a trip.
