This is by far my favorite spot to shop for vintage!! I have found the staff at Marmalade to be very friendly, not to mention super knowledgeable about vintage clothing, the designers and the trends. Anytime I have been in looking for

I like Marmalade, got a great 1980s top and skirt here. But I have to say the prices are better at my new favorite shop: Pilgrim on Orchard Street near Grand. I got an amazing claude Montana skirt (very 1940s) and a Valentino sweater both in mint condition for $160 combined. I love both stores, but since they are near each other I go to both.

My husband and I dropped into this well-reviewed store on a Sunday and contrary to the reviews I've read, the shop assistant basically looked like she needed a fly-swatter, she couldn't get rid of us sooner. Not a hi or hello, just get out. Now. And this was a good three hours before closing. For this reason, I would not recommend this place to friends and colleagues.

Pros: some nice items

Cons: snooty staff

Marmalade is one of my favorite shops in the city. Shopping there is like rooting thru a well-dressed friend's closet. Every piece has something to it - special details that have made girls on the street stop to ask me where things like my favorite ankle boots or my painted leather bag came from. The owner and her staff are friendly and knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping you look good.

if you had all day to drive around the country looking for the one great pair of shoes that are in a Goodwill store somewhere in upstate NY, then good for you! If you are looking for a totally unique perfect item for going out in - and love having something that none of your bitchy female friends can buy with their parents AMEX card - then RUN right now to Marmalade. Some of the coolest people in the fashion world rely on Marmalade for ideas and inspiration. The owner is way ahead of the curve, and you will see the light I promise

Marmalade always seems to have their finger on the pulse of the moment in fashion. It offers a definite point of view, and offers vintage in all price ranges. On a given day you can find a rare Zandra Rhodes top, a Mad Max-era suede tunic, and an affordable pair of 80's Boots. The owner Hannah Kurland also features her own progressive line of vintage-inspired wearables. Like most everything at Marmalade, it's girly with an edge. Marmalade is cool without being pretentious. You'll feel like you are in on a secret!

I love the seventies and eighties clothes. Marmalade is a not a food store. It's a great vintage clothes that carries mostly outfits from the seventies and eighties. They carry everything from cocktail dresses to vintage shoes to outfits for men. The selection is choice, the staff is friendly and the prices are not too expensive.
