The food is average at best but you can't beat the beer selection and the prices are good. Daily beer specials and a service staff that works hard for you. good place to watch a game if you sit at a hightop.

When we moved to Texas, I was always craving a zinger salad. So on our trip back to Florida, we went to fulfill my cravings. Well, I ordered the clam chowder soup as an appetizer. To my surprise, I almost swallowed a fingernail that was in my soup! Believe me, I was pretty disgusted by that. The manager that was on duty ended up paying for our meal, but I never had something like that happen to me. Beware of fingernails in the soup!

I LOVE THE ALE HOUSE !!! This is by far my favorite place to eat. When ever we have guest in town we always take them here. It is very layed back and a great place to watch the game. The food and the service have always been good. The only complaint is sometimes our appetizer arrives right before our food, which doesn't leave much time to enjoy it. I highly recommend the nachos (ask for them layered), the mushroom burger and the mahi mahi pasta. FYI the nachos are HUGE, more than enough for 2 people to eat as a meal. They also have great lunch specials that change every month and daily drink specials.

Pros: Great food, friendly staff, and cold beer :)

Cons: Can get very crowded on the weekends and noisy

As most people know, the Ale House has some great prices on low end drinks. I used to be a frequent diner there until recently when I found out that their Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired. My wife ordered a bratwurst sandwich that came from the kitchen with mustard already applied. Apparently, everybody likes mustard (they must have thought!), but she does not. She asked for some barbeque sauce to drown out the taste of the mustard. They brought it out but charged extra for it on the check! When I brought this to the manager's attention, she informed me that whenever they "go to the kitchen" for something such as that, there is a charge. I even wrote a letter to the company's main office in Jupiter, FL and got a letter back saying that they probably would not have charged it in my case, yet they DID! They never made it right. So, moral of the story: if your food comes out wrong, send it back! Don't try and "fix" it with a condiment; your wallet will be a little lighter for the effort. There are lots of similar restaurants where the management is more responsive than the Alafaya Ale House.

Pros: Cheap drinks, lots of TV's

Cons: Unresponsive management

At a going-away party we took up a large area between the bar and tables. I ordered a drink from the bar, since I was standing near it. The waiter came up to me, and others and told us to order only from him since I was at a table, even though I wasn't at a table. I wanted to order 7 drinks, waited for a while for the waiter, then went to the bar 2 feet away, as others did. The manager came out and told me to get the drinks from the waiter, but I wasn't at a table, called me beligerant, and told me to leave. All this just because I placed an order at the bar instead of the waiter. Never been kicked out of anywhere. I left. I didn't want to make a scene for my friend who was retiring, and I won't be back.
