I just recently took my 4 dogs to Dunk N Dogs for a full professional groom after during them myself for the past year & a half. I specified to the groomer a lady named Star to please not to nick my dogs the shears @ their underbelly area. When I arrived to pick them up one of my males was nicked deeply @ his under belly area near the inside fold of his leg. When I mentioned this to her she at first didn??t acknowledge nicking any dog until I showed her him and hear response was? Well, if you would have never told me then I would have nicked him and beside??s they wiggle?.
I was not happy @ this point.
During my check out, I kindly asked if there could be some type of flexi ably on the price since I was charged the grooming rate plus an additional $5.00 per dog for teeth brushing especially since I provided her with the Petrodex Finger toothbrush gloves. (Which she should had advised me prior to starting service that it would cost $5.00 per dog extra for teeth brushing) Star??s response to me was something to the effect of mobile groomer and YADA*YADA* YADA* which to me made no kind of sense what she was saying, so I again mentioned to her about the fact she nicked my dog and once again she said to me about dogs wiggling.
What a bunch of crap. You are the profession groomer, of course dogs are going to move around and stuff during their grooming experience. This wound on my dog seemed as it was bleeding when this cut occurred. I can tell. Today is the 2nd day since they have been groomed and the male with the cut skin wound seems not to be healing. If I do not see an improvement within 36 hours, Dunk N Dogs will be hearing from me. I will never return there again.

Dunk N Dogs is one of those places where you can take your dog to be washed, if you do not want the mess at home. The staff is very friendly, caring, and personable. You can tell from the moment that you walk in, that you and your dog are respected, and that they will help provide the best possible service for your dog. The tubs and other equipment, while geared towards dogs, are comfortable for human beings to use, so you won't get extremely uncomfortable while washing your dog. This is a great place to go, if you don't want a huge mess at home. They have so many sweet, floral and fruit, and natural smelling shampoos and conditioners that your pooch will smell like a rich pampered Beverly Hills pooch in no time flat. If you have a special engagement to go to, and you want your dog smelling extra fresh and clean, then this is the place to go to wash your dog. In some ways, I understand how places like this can exist, washing a dog is a messy job, and someone has to do it, so you might as well use someone else's facility, rather than have the mess in your own home. The price is a bit higher then you might expect, considering that you are the one who does all of the washing, but I guess, it's a small price to pay if you want your pooch looking pampered, smelling sweet, and you don't want the wet dog smell in your home. The convenient location has convenient hours, ample parking, and a committed staff. It seems like a lot more work to load the dogs up in the car, take them here to be washed, load them back up in the car to take them home, then to just give them a bath in your own home, but I guess, if you have one of those "museum" looking homes, then this is the kind of place for you. Then again, if your house is like a museum, and you don't want it to get dirty, what are you doing owning a dog in the first place?

PROS: Friendly, caring staff. Convenient location and hours. Ample parking.
CONS: Cost is a little expensive.

Though somewhat of a luxury to spend money to wash your own dog, the set up makes it easy to do (tubs are up at a standing human's level), the warm water and massaging faucet is soothing for the dogs, and the staff goes out of their way to help with whatever is needed. I was there on a day when it was empty and the girl working let me use the back room since I had 2 dogs and there isn't a place to really tie up the second one out in the main room. Also, my dogs didn't want to get in the tub and she helped coax and lift the 60 pounders when needed. Nice neighbor business. We'll be regular customers.

PROS: big selection of soaps and easy to use equipment
CONS: hard to manage 2 dogs there since there's no where to tie them

So when I first moved to this neighborhood, this was one of the stores that popped out in my mind. Not so much because I take my dog to get washed often, but the name was very catchy. The apartment complex that I live in has a lot of dogs so someone had mentioned that they had taken their dog there so I decided to try it out. WIth a wide selection of shampoos and conditioners, it's a nice place to pamper your dog. They also have a cute section of supplies and toys for your beloved pets, but if you've got your own shampoo and water supply at home, I would just wash them there. It's a bit too much trouble to take your dog there to simply give them a bath.

We took our dogs here when they first opened just to check it out. It was fun. I think that our dogs enjoyed the socialization aspect of it all. It was a little difficult for us though to bring them both down there, wash them and get them back in the car... doing it at home is much easier... HOWEVER... if you don't have a place to wash your dog this place would be just perfect. They've got choices of shampoo and conditioner to use, constant fresh water and a cool little shampooing system. It works well! They also have a cute boutique.
