New and freshly-painted, the restaurant's ambience is starkly upscale from all the other dives on MacArthur. (Although the decor is still relatively sparse.) The service is prompt and quick, but the waiters seem harried. One interesting feature of the restaurant are the patrons ranging from families, well-dressed young couples and groups of college kids. (Great place to people-watch and enjoy the comfortable diversity of the Laurel.)

The cuisine is reminiscent of Thai, but if you're Asian and you do not specify a spiciness level, they'll serve curry that will cause tears. My boyfriend - German - ordered the same dish a week later and there was no heat whatsoever. The vegetables somehow stay crisp and retain their snap even in sauces and curries. The salmon dish is tender, moist, AND flaky. A very satisfying meal.

Overall, it's a great place to hang out with friends and share a meal family-style.
