My husband bought me a Nirve cruiser at this shop for my birthday a few years ago and we were very happy with the service we received here. they made several adjustments to the bike for us after i had owned it for a while. they really know their cycles. recommended.

Richard Hodge has been a bike mechanic for 40 years. Although the Cyle Analyst sells new and used bikes, this stores forte is repairs. When you can get it fixed anywhere else, then this is the place. Need a 3 speed hub fixed. A cinch here. They can fix a bike you bought last week or something 50-60 years old. Richard has forgotten more than most bike mechanics will ever know. He can be testy. Especially if you one of those fools who tries to show him how much you know. Just take his advice and do as he recommends. He is very honest and good hearted.

I needed a 26 inch wheel with coaster brake for a crusier I was building from the ground up. I have 14 bikes at home and have been restoring bikes for 20 years now. So, I was a little puzzled when the guy on the other end of the phone kept insisting like a broken record that I would have to bring my frame into the shop. Im sorry, but I just wanted to purchase a rear wheel. I told him I could look at the wheel and know immediately if it was going to fit. (Never had one in all my years NOT fit.) I arrived at the shop a few minutes later and asked for a rear wheel with a coaster brake. A young schnitzle type begins to re-enact the scene from Hi Fidelity where a Joe off the street looking for a Steveie Wonder album for his daughter is ridiculed by the music snobs at the local record store. The Cycle Analyst schnitzel hands me a track wheel, i.e. no brake mechanism at all. I say no, I need a wheel with a coaster brake for a cruiser. He then hands me a rear wheel for a road bike. I ask him point blank if he even knew what a coaster brake was and he got very snippy before retrieving a rear wheel with coaster brake. I decided that despite my love for cruiser bikes and their good selection of cruiser stuff that I just could not, in good conscience, give them any business and left. As I walked out the door the twenty-something employee shouted very sarcastically "Have a GREAT day" over the thrash metal playing on the CD player.

I was blown away. I was courteous and patient with these guys but they had just cranked up the bike-snobbery to high level. I went back to the local bike shop who had recommended them (Turin) and was told that Cycle Analyst have run off more than one customer with bad attitude.

I wound up getting my wheel at Bike Doctor for $10 less than Cycle Analyst. I highly highly discourage patronage of Cycle Analyst because of the sheer ineptness and immaturity of their employees.

Pros: good selection of cruiser accessories

Cons: immature and inept staff

If you're into cruisers and classic bikes, every other shop in the area will refer you to these guys, though they handle all kinds of bicycles. They welcome all kinds of cyclists, even freds like me. They don't try to sell you anything you don't need. They are known to teach people how to help themselves even. Great guys in a great shop. Their website is cycleanalystinc d0tc0m

Pros: Friendly, honest staff with a genuine love of cycling. If they can't help you, they'll send you in the right direction.

Cons: It's on-street parking if you have a car, though there's usually plenty of spaces right in front.
