Guru's is awesome. I think it's the best food in Provo. They have tons of different kind of dishes and they're all great. They also have great bands that come during the week and karaoke on Saturdays. I'd definitely recommend it.

Nothing to get excited about. The food is mediocre. The atmosphere is trendy but cold and uninviting.

The Thai peanut dish was awful. Other dishes I've had there are mediocre. I don't think I'll go back soon.

I am a culinary professional, a future chef if you will, so I know good food and I know what will keep a restaurant in business. I used to really enjoy the food at Guru's, but I hadn't been back to eat there for since earlier this year. I went there today and will probably never go again. The thai peanut rice bowl, my favorite in the past, was now dull, bland, near flavorless with vegetables I would have thrown out yesterday. I brought this to their attention and though first offering to make something to replace it, they then came back with a $2 gift card. What's $2 off going to do when I don't have any reason to come back? I started to leave but then thought better of it, since I like their atmosphere and would like them to stick around if they could offer the same quality they did last year. The two female cashiers took 3 or 4 minutes of my time trying to tell me that it was just policy and there was nothing more they could do, then a guy in a red shirt who could've been a bus boy as easily as management came up and actually listened, assessed the situation, and offered to replace the meal. He even apologized and tried to reassure me that what I had been served was a one time mistake and not an example of what they usually serve these days. I ended up, 20 minutes lost, walking out with the Szeschwan Chicken rice bowl, which though not as bad as the thai peanut, was still not as good as I had come to expect from Guru's, and the vegetables, again, were definitely past usable. I miss what Guru's once was. I hope a good restaurant will open there when Guru's goes under.

Guru's is kind of hidden, but very worth the trip. They give you huge portions of really good food. They have top notch food that looks elegant too. I ordered a desert too and it was HUGE! I was in heaven. Their food is incredibly good.

I just went to Guru's for the first time a few weeks ago, and I've been back once a week since. First, they have a great selection of food: sandwiches, italian, mexican, etc. It's all reasonably priced, and the menu is easy to understand (you can get a small plate of food or a large plate of food...) You go up to order the meal, but then it is brought out to you. The service is great; they're always refilling your water, etc. Very comfortable atmosphere for casual dining.
