Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is fun all year round from the regular zoo visits to the Zoolights - holiday display - in the winter time. The polar bears and the aquarium full of sharks and other sea creatures are definitely the highlights. It's a great place to take visitors because the zoo does have an extensive Aquarium and Marine area that isn't found at all the zoos in the country. Prices are pretty reasonable - especially if you get a season pass.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is fun for a change of pace but there are better Zoos and Aquariums in the area. Most of Point Defiance is perched on a hillside so those with disabilities, small children, and/or strollers will find it challenging to get around. The Zoo and Aquarium areas are both on the small side so you wont see the variety that you will at other locations.

We love visiting Point Definace Zoo and Aquarium at any time during the year. YOu can always see something new. Its never boring, having children ranging from 6 - 19 its hard to find things that they all enjoy. This is one thing that even my husband enjoys on the weekend. Every year we look forward to something new.

PROS: Great entertainment, lots of new things to see and do
CONS: parking is on a step grade.

This zoo is about two hours from our house. We go about once a year. It is smaller than Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, but that's not always a negative! We can see the zoo and aquarium with our kids without having them exhausted. They've added a new show in the summer where you can see some of the animals. It's really a cute show. Some of the birds fly right over the audience. Their zoo lights in the Christmas season as really magnificent. My daughter's favorite zoo memory is feeding the goats in the family farm area. Be sure to bring quarters to feed the machine! We like to take our kids down to the beach below the zoo before heading home.

This is an excellent Zoo and Aquarium with various displays and wonderful animals and fish. The aquarium is one of a kind and can be viewed from above or through the windows. The zoo offers various outdoor shows and beautiful grounds.

This is a wonderful place for a days outing. The variety of animals is so good, and the way they are cared for is exemplary. It is a lovely setting, and the zoo is so well cared for. It is also an attraction at Christmas time, when the whole place is decorated brightly, and music is played throughout the area.

Our kids always enjoyed the animals and the facility at this zoo. It is very family friendly and a great place for a day outing. We especially enjoyed the Beluga Whales and the staff is always willing to tell you all about them.

This is another great zoo in the Seattle area. There are many different types of animals for the whole family to see. The aquarium is great and the staff at the zoo is very knowledgable and so willing to answer any questions.

we love this zoo. It is one you can get around in in a day. Some of the other zoos are so large, you don't feel you can see it all! The aquarium area is a favorite!
